In the recesses of your mind
Almost all people who have any kind of political stance believe ALL politicial offices should have TERM LIMITS.

What should those limits be?

Should there be detrimental punishments for politicians that don't hold up their promises/lie/cheat/steal/money launder/murder/insider trading/Big Business bribes?

If your constituents keep electing you, you should keep serving

I don’t think term limits get you better candidates

In politics, the longer they stay the more corrupt they get.
IMHO two terms should be the limit, just like for the president.
Old geezers just can't keep up, like when Biden said "play records for your kids" or some such anachronistic horseshit.

By a huge margin, American voters are STUPID. Thats why we get dipshits like MTG, AOC, Pelosi, Biden, graham etc
I would rather restrict voting(IQ test, Land owners things like that), than impose term limits.
Why should someone like Thomas Massie get kicked out of congress for a term limit? He is one of the few good ones

What makes you think new Congress members can’t be corrupt?

If they are corrupt, charge them

The American people decide term limits while voting.

But since that will never happen, limiting the damage they do is the next best thing.

6 years for house of rep. 14 years for senate. 2 terms for Governor. 2 terms for all other elected officials.
Non elected government workers must have at least 10 years working in the private sector before being hired.
For those who wish to serve the people after their term limit is up there are plenty of areas for that inside the party jobs. other elected post etc.

Anyone who thinks a candidate should not serve after two terms should just vote against them

The rest of us can keep voting for him

Republican Ron Johnson said he would only serve two terms.

He's running for a third term.

Last year, Senators Ted Cruz, Mike Braun, Pat Toomey, Marco Rubio, Todd Young, and Rick Scott introduced a Constitutional amendment to limit Senators to two terms and Representatives to three terms.

Ted Cruz is in his second term which ends in 2024.

Mike Braun is in his first term.

Pat Toomey served three terms in the House, and is in his second term in the Senate which ends this year. He has confirmed he is not running for re-election.

Marco Rubio is in his second term which ends this year. This special hypocrite who sponsored the term limit amendment is also running for a third term like Ron Johnson.

Todd Young served three terms in the House. He is in his first term in the Senate which ends this year. He is running for a second term.

Rick Scott is in his first term which ends in 2024.

Trey Hollingsworth and Pat Toomey have proven to be men of honor.

Marco Rubio, sponsor of a Constitutional amendment for term limits, is violating the very conditions of that amendment. I wonder how he can stand the stench of his own hypocrisy.
