When I read something like this, I have a hard time understanding whether or not the OP is in full-bloom denial.

The reality check comes in the understanding of who was in charge of the House, Senate and the White House, while our economy was being imploded and the global economy was set on fire and left to burn.

Republicans, were in charge in 2000. Republicans, could have stopped their spending binge but refused to do so in the form of unnecessary wars, still unpaid for to this day. Republicans, could have done something about easy credit, but they were too busy sticking their own hands into the liquidity provided by China, Germany and Japan.

When it was time for Republicans, in 2000, to design an economic fiscal policy that would reduce the debt, balance the budget and create a sustainable economic growth curve long term, by doing the work necessary to build an aggregate based economy, they failed and they failed miserably to provide that leadership.

Now - Republicans, want the United States Voting Electorate to simply forget. They want the American People to ignore. They want the American Taxpayer to forgive. And, they think that main street should trust.

Forget. Ignore. Forgive. Trust.

THAT is the campaign slogan of the entire Republican Party for 2013. Forget that the allowed it to happen. Ignore the fact that they caused it to happen. Forgive them for not doing anything at all to prevent it from happening and trust them now to provide the leadership for cleaning up their mess, when they never had the capacity to clean it up before.
