You romanticize the early immigrants

The Jews lived in their own neighborhoods. So did Italians, Chinese, Poles, Germans
They kept their old cultures and spoke their old languages
And it took time for them to be assimilated into the unique American culture. It still does not mean they cannot have some of the old ways though. The illegal immigration is mostly not doing that. There is so much of it that it is tearing the fabric of the nation apart. And it is being done on purpose.

And the newly immigrated Jews, while speaking Yiddish at home, were eager to learn English as quickly as possible so as to adapt to their chosen country, and attended Ulpans* at night - often after 10 hours in a sweatshop - to do so.

Now we have Spanish-speaking people yelling in Spanish across the aisles so as to let everyone know that they will NOT speak English. We have a movie director putting out a film with lots of Spanish, and no subtitles. I even had a store employee greet me in Spanish!

*Ulpans were set up by Jews who had arrived earlier and were helping the new arrivals to learn English.

Second and third generation Hispanics fully integrate into our society

Just like every other immigrant group

Hasidic Jews still don‘t integrate into our society and maintain their own communities

They know how to speak English and don’t expect “press one for Yiddish,” ballots and poll direction signs printed in Yiddish, and descriptions of government programs translated into Yiddish.

The problem is that we are paying for all sorts of translation for Spanish-speakimg people. How come naturalized citizens from Greece, and Italy, and Sweden, and wherever else are able to figure out ballots, and yet the people from Central America and Mexico need the word “here” translated into “aqui”?

You obviously don’t live near a Hasidic Community

They have endless demands on the taxpayers and insist on specific programs to help their people

Hasidc and Orthodox Jews do not integrate with our society

That’s not true. You’re just showing your prejudice toward religious people.

But more double standards. Where’s you condemnation for blacks with their demands for programs to help their people, or for illegal immigrants - whom you always defend - who have come to expect American taxpayers to translate everything into Spanish for them?

As usual, we have another leftist showing his disdain for Jews while defending illegals. We have to bend over backwards to accommodate the people pouring in from Central America.

<sob> But…but….what about Blacks?
:206:

You are so predictable

But….but…..I am just showing your double standards.

if leftists didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards at all.

It always gets back to “Negroes” with you Lisa
You are a one trick pony

You’re so predictable.….always going back to calling “waaaacist!!”

I was pointing out that you are condemning a small population of Jews for the same behavior that is even more prevalent among blacks - and yet you never would condemn blacks for it. Only Jews.. Your attempt to hide your double standards by falsely calling your opponent a racist doesn’t work anymore. It’s been too overused.

Most Democrats believe that there are “tens of millions” of “dangerous MAGA Republicans,” a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll released in September found.

The survey followed President Biden’s angry speech in which he demonized millions of Americans, deeming “MAGA Republicans” a great threat to the very “foundations of our republic.” The poll asked voters, “Do you think there are tens of millions of dangerous MAGA Republicans backing violence and trying to overthrow the constitution or is that a gross exaggeration and distortion?”

While a majority across the board, 54 percent, said that characterization is a “gross exaggeration,” 46 percent believe that there are, in fact, “tens of millions of dangerous MAGA Republicans.”

But what is more, nearly three-quarters of Democrats, 73 percent, tend to believe Biden’s divisive rhetoric, concluding that there are literally “tens of millions of dangerous MAGA Republicans” who are overtly “backing violence and trying to overthrow the constitution.” Forty-two percent of independents agree with the majority of Democrats, as do 20 percent of Republicans.

LOL....Harvard poll.

"Get 'em skeered and keep the skeer on 'em" – Lt. General Nathanial Bedford Forrest

Isn't that what you want Democrats to think? Extremists like Qanon have taken over and hardcore Trumpies talk about civil war.

If voting were limited to those who could pass the simple test that citizens seeking naturalization are required to pass, the Democrats wouldn't have a chance. You have to be literate, in English.

Trump wouldn't pass. He's never read the constitution. He said that it was too hard like a foreign language.

Books Trump “has said he read”

Trump hasn‘t read a book since HS. Those who know him or work with him say there are no books in his home or office. The guy who actually wrote “The Art of the Deal” said Trump never actually read it.
