Poland had been trying to sell their old Soviet era tanks for years now.
They have already moved to the M1 and Leopard, and the old T-72s have been sitting in boneyards for years. But their inability to attract any buyers for them has largely left them as useless to them. But they are looking into a program to modernize those they have left into use by their reserve forces. But with almost 400 of them in their inventory, even after giving these away it will impact them not at all. As their Army has not used them in decades other than as OPFOR.
