I suggest everyone watch this. All the bickering going on here and in the country . . . this isn't about Rep vs. Dem, which many on here have pointed out. It's about big government (BOTH Rep and Dem) vs the U.S. citizen. Yet all I see is "yeah, but Bush" or "yeah but Obama is worse" (I'm guilty of it too).

The sooner we understand that what this country was founded on and our liberty is what's at stake then maybe the sooner both sides can come together as citizens and fight the real fight . . . . Washington D.C. and government.

You're absolutely right but are you just gonna give up or are you willing to fight? We are in a civil war in this country . . . . one side for liberty and the foundations on which this country was built and the other side for governmentism.

booooooooooooooooooooo big bad government boooooooooooooooooooooo be afraid, be very afraid right wing nuts.

oh, I'm never gonna give up..til they put me six foot under.. I will fight on.

Americans love big government. The bigger, the better. From the founding of the country through this minute, we look to government to fix the problems we face. And why shouldn't we? Big Government is the most effective way to fix them. It's got the power to do what has to be done and the power to make it stick. Remember, a government big enough to give us what we want is a government big enough to crush anyone who gets in its way...and that's the way it should be.

You think these big government stooges care?

They want the nanny state, look at them lap it up, demand it and pray for it.

They practically creamed themselves when Barry signed away more of their freedoms yesterday.

You're absolutely right. Good post. America was built on the idea of being a free country, with little direct government control. The bigger the government the less freedom we have. Government needs to be cut down to a mere shadow of its current state. Hell's bells, if we dumped about 2/3 of the current government employees we'd have enough money to get us out of debt and the government would run better. Employees would actually have to work for a living (and I say that as a former government employee). The waste is incredible. We could also do away with a lot of these current agencies and departments.

This is a war, in a sense - we need to ask ourselves if we want to remain a free country or whether we want to be enslaved to government ownership.

Couldn't agree more.

Who was it, Will Rogers, who talked about a do nothing Govt and how that was the best kind.

Boy was he right.

Not only bigger government, but more people in general.

How important is an average worker to a small business?

Pretty important, right? They are doing a significant majority of the work

Now how important is a worker in a major corporation?

Not so much, right?

This is the nature of big demographics

One man's death is a tragedy, one thousand deaths is a statistic

Dennis Prager has this one NAILED. Why can't we as citizens stop this intrusion and 'ripping off of our rights, freedoms and individuality"? Many in this country can SEE what's happening, but apparently are unable to stop it.........so far.

Good one Zoom...:clap2:

After my retirement from the Navy (they had socialist health care I guess), I took a year off. Hey I deserved it dammit...:) I retired at 39 1/2, woohoo.

Now I am working again on career number 2. So your statement "get a job" doesn't make sense to me.

How is the pen sharping business going? I don't care what those customers say, don't start sharping pencils.
