Ya might want to hold off for a couple of reasons.
First is it looks like Samsung rushed the production of Exynos 2200 chip and it's having some overheating issues. Second is while the Exynos 2200 chip beats out every other Android chip out there it's still beaten by Apple's "old" A13 and A15 chips when it comes to performance.

If its the one I think it is my friend just got it for 2 grand.

She got 800 for her old phone but now way would I pay 2 grand for a damned phone.

I bought the note 20 when it first come out. It was over 1K.
About 2 weeks after i paid it off, i destroyed it. I said never again!

I'll probably get a s24.

I have a S10 now and I still love it. I bought too many galaxy phones too close together and I never felt like I was getting this new phone with a lot of new stuff and improvements.

So I'm waiting a bit so when I do get one it will feel more like a big leap for me.

I still have a Galaxy A20 that does everything I need, and only cost me a couple hundred bucks cash.
I could never spend a fortune on a phone, or justify making payments on one.
