More bullshit from Obama's mouth:eusa_whistle:

Obama: Women 'Rely' on Planned Parenthood for Mammograms; FDA: No They Don't

President Barack Obama said during the second presidential debate against his Republican opponent Mitt Romney that women "rely" on Planned Parenthood for mammograms, but, according to the Food and Drug Administration, no Planned Parenthood facility in the United States is license to do mammograms.

During Tuesday night’s debate against his Republican challenger Mitt Romney, Obama said, “When Gov. Romney says that we should eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood, there are millions of women all across the country who rely on Planned Parenthood for not just contraceptive care; they rely on it for mammograms, for cervical cancer screenings. That’s a pocketbook issue for women and families all across the country, and it makes a difference in terms of how well and effectively women are able to work.”

Last June, the Department of Health and Human Services said in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that no Planned Parenthood clinic in the United States has mammogram equipment

The claim that PP provides certain services was shown to be a lie a few years ago. What amazes me is that they take millions of tax payer dollars each year, don't provide shit, they make millions each year and donate to the Dems. Sounds like a money laundering operation to me. It's also been shown, on video, that they facilitate abortions for minors, even victims of statutory rape. They assist prostitutes and pimps by giving suggestions how to run their business.

PP doesn't even do the actual abortions. What do they really do? And why are they worth a penny of our money?

Did anyone ever think that Planned Parenthood performs mammograms? But IIRC they do often help provide funding for women to obtain mammograms from other providers. They also provide clinical breast exams.

Sure, CNS has no agenda.

Well since we currently have Obamacare, why is there any need for the government to fund Planned Parenthood? All those poor women that can't afford care that rely on Planned Parenthood are getting insurance.

Exactly. The breast exam is done at PP, and if there needs to be a follow up mammogram, PP then assists the woman in getting one, financially if that is required.

Sure................these people are reliable...........nothing like getting your news from a far right wing hatchet site.

By the way, here's what it says on the CNS news "about us" part of their site.............

CNSNews.com was launched on June 16, 1998 as a news source for individuals, news organizations and broadcasters who put a higher premium on balance than spin and seek news that’s ignored or under-reported as a result of media bias by omission.

Study after study by the Media Research Center, the parent organization of CNSNews.com, clearly demonstrate a liberal bias in many news outlets – bias by commission and bias by omission – that results in a frequent double-standard in editorial decisions on what constitutes "news."

In response to these shortcomings, MRC Chairman L. Brent Bozell III founded CNSNews.com in an effort to provide an alternative news source that would cover stories that are subject to the bias of omission and report on other news subject to bias by commission.

CNSNews.com endeavors to fairly present all legitimate sides of a story and debunk popular, albeit incorrect, myths about cultural and policy issues.

CNSNews.com has a full staff of credentialed journalists at its world headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. In addition to news, CNSNews.com is proud to present commentary and analysis by some of the brightest minds and sharpest wits in the nation, including cartoonists.

CNSNews.com is a division of the Media Research Center, a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. Like National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting System, CNSNews.com is able to provide its services and information to the public at no cost, thanks to the generous support of our thousands of donors and their tax-deductible contributions. However, unlike NPR or PBS, CNSNews.com does not accept any federal tax money for its operations.

What Planned Parenthood does is find funding for women to get mammograms, make the appointments, and send women to clinics that DO have mammograms. It helps make women aware of the options for preventative care that are available (and a mammogram is one of the very few services that PP does not do onsite).

For example, I had never head of Family Pact (http://www.familypact.org/) until a Planned Parenthood PA told me about it. An amazing service that saves a lot of people a lot of money (it is a lot cheaper to prevent problems than to fix them).

Basic gynecological health is available at PP, including PAP scans, STD tests, treatment of UTIs and yeast infections (and may I point out that these things happen to ALL people, regardless of their civil status, politics, etc).

Planned Parenthood aiding women for breast cancer awareness month

Clinical breast exams are the first line of defense for providers in detecting breast cancer in most young women. Last year, Planned Parenthood doctors and nurses across Illinois provided 17,000 breast exams. Like most ob/gyns and primary care physicians, if a Planned Parenthood health care provider finds an abnormality during an exam, the patient is referred to a breast specialist for further examination, which may include diagnostic tests, like an ultrasound or biopsy. Planned Parenthood of Illinois' newly established breast diagnostic grant program helps to cover the costs of these tests for patients when possible, as the tests can be costly, especially for uninsured and low-income women.

Yes, he's a liar. So what, we shouldn't vote for him because he's a lying, progressive, flip-flopping statist, who also believes that the government should be allowed to kill or arrest and detain citizens until death without cause or trial?

What is the best method of detecting breast cancer as early as possible?

Getting a high-quality screening mammogram and having a clinical breast exam (an exam done by a health care provider) on a regular basis are the most effective ways to detect breast cancer early. As with any screening test, screening mammograms have both benefits and limitations. For example, some cancers cannot be detected by a screening mammogram but may be found by a clinical breast exam.

What does Planned Parenthood do? Does Planned Parenthood's services include mammograms?

Some of these right wing fuckers are so damaged. They hate. They are ignorant. Many truly believe "Let him die". Many right wingers don't deserve to be helped by Planned Parenthood, but they will help anyone that needs it.

Pap Tests & HPV Tests

Pap tests and HPV tests are kinds of cervical cancer screening. Women get routine screening to help them avoid getting cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is the second-most common type of cancer among women worldwide. Cervical cancer is caused by a common sexually transmitted infection, human papilloma virus (HPV).

Pap smears are not actually tested on site.

"I almost ignored the lump. How serious could it have been? I was 27 and had no family history of any kind of cancer. Then I remembered Planned Parenthood .... Since I had no income at all, and dwindling savings, this was a great option for me. I didn't have to decide between breast care and rent. ... There is no doubt in my mind that Planned Parenthood saved my life." - Colleen L., Loudonville, NY

Planned Parenthood doctors and nurses teach patients about breast care, connect patients to resources to help them get vital biopsies, ultrasounds, and mammograms, and follow up to make sure patients are cared for with the attention they need and deserve.

Breast Cancer Screenings - Options

Without PP, these patients would never be able to connect. They would just die. What many in the right hopes for.

I don't hate the right wing. It would be like hating someone retarded. They can't help it. The right wing has been so indoctrinated, you just can't hate them. You hate the brain damage they have suffered.
