There are several articles on news sites that are lobbying for Micheal Phelps, the most decorated man in Olympic history, to forfeit his role as flag bearer at the opening ceremony in Rio.

The narrative of course, is that he is already so famous, so why not let someone else do it. Naturally the only alternative is to have a black Muslim female carry it, because that represents the new USA. We can't have someone who has been so successful and dominating be the face of the country, especially since he is white and male. Even if he worked his ass off and earned every victory, he still benefits from white privilege right? That's why we need someone chosen simply because they are different. We need a black Muslim female who hasn't done anything yet and no one would pay any attention to her, except the fact that she is Muslim and wears a Hijab. It is just the matter of luck not to get caught.

They should dispense with the testing for drugs. Let the competitors compete the best way they can.
