Peyton Manning, according to the NFL today (on Fox, btw), left the United States to seek stem cell treatment for his neck; a procedure not yet approved in our country. It was explicitly stated this would not be embryonic stem cell therapy.

Is there a reason it is not approved in the US? Could it be that it is because there is no evidence it works?

Don't know. Could be, the source was Fox's pregame program this morning. I posted all the info they offered. I would expect a star NFL QB has available whatever medical treatment he wants, as well as expert advice.

Problem profiteering. They would't want if it was "proven" to work.

Oh man. His injury sounds VERY serious to the enjoyment of his life. So very sad for him and loved ones. Football!!!! What huge risks these athletes choose.
