PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

It’s easy for people like Ron Paul to say people should take “personal responsibility.” But it’s not that easy to tell someone who is a low wage earner or even middle class to plan for the future when they are living from pay check to pay check, paying mortgage and sending children to college to save of cancer, etc when their private healthcare drops them or they are not able to pay the premiums. “Unforeseen circumstances befalls us all.” and we are our “brother’s keeper” What do those Right Wing Nut T-Baggers expect those people to do. Go without Medicare care, without food and housing? This is America and we take care of our elderly, disabled and children. Church? Charity? Good luck. You have to be living under a bridge to get help from them and most often they want you to pay them back. One in six Americans are now living below poverty line. 1.5 million children are homeless. As many as 3.5 million people experience homelessness in a given year. 15 million unemployed.
If we do not help people when they are in need, they will help themselves to what we have and it won’t be pretty.

It is immoral to with hold medical care, food and housing for those in need. Jesus fed the hungry and healed the sick. provided for the lillies of the fields and the birds, etc. How much does it take from us to take care of our needy, elderly and sick?
