The fly in the ointment. Media always jumps from Spanish Flu to today but skips right over these. Talk of any lockdowns unheard of, no schools closed.

In terms of deaths per capita, the US has been through two pandemics worse than COVID after the Spanish Flu. No school closings no lockdowns no overturn of Constitutional rights.

The Imperial College study by which the “lockdowns” were justified has been exposed as quack science.

The study, called Report 9, was the prediction by British epidemiologist Neil Ferguson that if unprecedented measures closing society were not implemented, the US faced over 2 million dead of COVID-19.

Johan Giesecke, former chief scientist for the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention, has called Ferguson’s model “the most influential scientific paper” in history. He also says it was “one of the most wrong.”

Nearly half of all deaths from the COVID have been in just three states: New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.

The CDC admits that the true mortality rate of COVID is .25% to .3%, similar to the mortality rate of the common flu, and lower than some previous coronaviruses such as SARS or MERS.

Mortality rate the 1967 Hong Kong Flu: .5% versus the coronavirus .3%
Death toll: 100,000. Population of US at time: 200 million

Mortality rate for the 1957 H2N2 Asian Flu: .7%.
Death toll: 116,000 Population of US at time: 170 million.

Months after the close of the 1968 – 1969 flu season, people flocked to one of the largest mass gatherings in US history, Woodstock.

Had Trump been president back then he would have locked down society like he did here and now.

Trump is the one who was right all along. At the very start he said the mortality rate estimate would keep going down, to maybe one percent. Pretty good for a business major.

No they didn't.

Lot's of places didn't lock down. Had no issues.

Does not mean they didn't practice good safety measures.

But you're a moron anyway.

A lot of places didn't do the Michigan bullshit lockdown.

Crepiass has no fucking clue.

Crepiass has no fucking clue.

Or
Is just another of those idiots thinking Socialism or Communism is better.

"thinking" is a pretty strong term to use when considering Crepiass (Crepitus)

They're ALL batshit crazy ignoramuses.

Screaming for gun control while creating murderous riots and releasing dangerous criminals from prison.
Screaming for defunding the Police.
Screaming for Socialism when the MODERN example of Venezuela is RIGHT THERE
GD fools is what they are. They are a clear danger to civility and humanity.

Had Trump been president back then he would have locked down society like he did here and now.

Only if democrats were screaming and wailing about it.

The bottom line is, people back then were tougher, and stronger people, less likely to cave and fold under to fear.

It's just like my parents church, and my own church. My parents church is filled with people 50s 60s and 70s. My father is 77, and still an elder in the Church.

Their church opened over a month ago.

My church... we have a bunch of teens, college kids, and 30s and 40s people.

They told me last week, they won't be reopening until mid-august.

Why? The younger generation is just flat out terrified little toddlers. The older generation is sitting there... we got work to do. We're getting on with our lives. Younger generation is busy putting up 20 hand sanitizer stations every 6 feet in the building. Older generation is cooking meals for widows and planning out a mission trip to 3rd world countries.

So, no I doubt if Trump was president back then, that he would have locked everything down.
