Pence: “Congress has no right to my testimony”

Glenn Kirschner issued a damning critique of the former vice president's refusal to testify before the House Jan. 6 committee.

Seven words that Mike Pence said about declining to appear before the House committee investigating the U.S. Capitol riot should prohibit the former vice president from ever holding public office again, a former federal prosecutor has argued.

In a YouTube video released Thursday, Glenn Kirschner issued a damning critique of Pence’s recent claim that “Congress has no right to my testimony” about the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection.

Kirschner, who was a prosecutor in the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington for more than two decades, said Congress has a legitimate purpose in investigating Donald Trump’s attempted overthrow of the 2020 election result, which indicated that rival Joe Biden would be taking his place in the White House.

“Let’s be clear: By extension, Mike Pence is saying, ‘The American people have no right to my relevant testimony as Congress goes about trying to craft laws to keep this from ever happening again,’” Kirshner said.

Pence sounds un-American and uppity to me! What do you think?

Enemy democrats want to find a way to prevent any republican from ever holding office.

The committee is trying to find a way to continue its existence into perpetuity.

And here we see another example of right wing crazy. The charge was conspiracy, not collusion. And if you don't think 140 meetings with Russians were nothing, you are truly insane. The majority of the senate voted to convict trump twice. Nobody spied on trump, that's why Durham ended the grand jury. Climate change and COVID are real. So was the insurrection. There was no insurrection in Portland. What election were they trying to overturn?

What we have seen is the DOJ policy of not indicting a sitting president and huge obstruction of justice with the AG complicit. Trump was corrupt and as VP Mike Pence answers to congress.

So you're saying Mueller is a liar, GOT IT!!!!!!!!!

.

These guys should be put in jail. If we defied subpoenas thats where we would be. Purposefully stalling for a change of congress should be treated like Obstruction of justice.

Funny, I don't see you demanding commies that defied subpoenas or were charged with contempt of congress be put in jail. That race baiter makes you a hypocrite.

.

The Supreme Court has found In the past that Congress has the legal right to subpoena witnesses to testify before them.

H*** at 1 time Congress actually ran their own jail And there Sergeant of arms was considered a law enforcement officer and had arrest authority. They havent actually arrested someone on their own since the 1930s.
But they do have the legal right to subpoena Pence. They wouldn't have been able to subpoena him while he was the vice president because of the exact of privilege, But an ex president and ex vice president do not have exactive privilege.

And there Sergeant of arms
Your real level of education is showing, LMFAO.

.

The committee will cease to exist by Christmas.

.

Any number of people who worked for the committee have pointed fingers at Liz Cheney for making it all about Trump while ignoring other issues that they dug up.

These people hired by the Democrats have serious questions about why no NG, why were the Capitol Police not at full strength, why were bicycle racks which double as barriers removed outside the Capitol, and numerous other issues.

Yep and those will be addressed by current standing committees led by republicans in the new congress starting 3 Jan.

What do you think?

We have SKIPPED the investigation and gone directly to the stage where anyone who continues to question the irregularities is a traitor.

Congress is not part of the judicial branch

Nor can anyone legally be forced to even disclose.

Congress has ZERO authority

“False flag”

Nor does Congress likely represent the will of the people either.

H*** at 1 time Congress actually ran their own jail

They call it "democracy"
One would think clarity and transparency is the bottom line here.....

Which is essential to any 'free' nation

and admittedly what lacked , subsequently manifesting in the Jan 6th protest...

~S~

They're only "false flags" because the right doesn't like them, and they can't disprove them.
The US is turning into conspiracy theory ally and the Chinese and Russians are playing the fiddle.
False flag...meaning sending out instigators into a crowd to direct people to the Capital after a speech by Trump.
Some of the MAGA folks thought they might be able to see some historical stuff when Capital Police opened barriers and unlocked magnetic locks on the doors allowing a few dozen idiots to enter the Capital.
Intermingling dozens of FBI agents in the crowd to gin up the people and cause them to become unruly.
Sending ANTIFA degenerates into unguarded areas to break in....and using this as an excuse to start pepper-spraying peaceful Trump supporters causing a riot.
Shooting an unarmed female Trump supporter in hopes that it will cause an angry reaction from the demonstrators.

Fact: Nobody died during this fake insurrection except two unarmed women...one shot in cold-blood and the other kicked and beaten to death by Capital Police....yet the media reports 5 people died....which is soon proved to be a fabrication.

Yes....this was a false flag operation hatched by the Pentagon with the cooperation of Nancy Pelosi....who had a film crew following her around filming her every move for some strange reason....just so she could make herself look innocent.

Then they put up a fence surrounding the scene of the crime for several weeks until they can remove all of the evidence of the crime. The media isn't allowed to take photos of any damage during this time.

an insurrection is a violent uprising against an authority or government.......the rioters in Portland were doing just that....

Since rules and standards and expectations of behavior and decency don't apply to that presidency, the committee would be better off just issuing its report for the public record and packing up its shit. It's on the record. Move on.

The only investigation that matters now is that of the DOJ, and if Jack Smith's as good as his reputation, that will be enough to get the whole story.

The man has no ethical bearings.
