Any real attempt to investigate 6 Jan has to start with Pelosi and the Sergeants at Arms of both House and Senate who were all warned of pending potential violence yet did nothing.

ACTUALLY evidence shows President Trump recommended having the National Guard in-place but the Sergeants at Arms and Pelosi rejected the idea due to 'asthetics'.

Forget 'asthetics" - the reason the National Guard was not called in was because the Guard would have messed up the Democrats' , Pelosi's, and FBI Director Wray's little 'Insurrection' Plan.

Instead of the National Guard, Pelosi & Wray had undercover FBI agents in place helping incite violence while Capitol Police were holding doors open for Anericans to walk into the Capitol.

Had the National Guard been called in people would have not gotten close and certainly would have been stopped from entering the building.

Again, Pelosi, Wray, and rhe Sergeants at Arms all knew of pending large crowds and the potential for violence. They were ready for it and were working a plan.

Here's a question though. What are the chances that the Biden's Attorney General will prosecute Democratic members for ignoring a subpoena after the 2022 Midterms are won by Republicans?

This would indeed be interesting if only they'd be forced to answer fully and honestly.

It's really not up to them, the referral goes to the US atty for the DC district who will undoubtedly refuse.

Actual evidence shows that Trump made no such offer. He did talk about it but that is as far as it went. No formal action was taken on it.

The Capitol Police are in charge of security not Pelosi or McConnell.

The White House did not call up the National Guard for some time. It remains unclear whether Trump did it or whether Pence was forced to do it. The insurrection was by Trump supporters.

There were no FBI agents nor were they allowing people in. Especially with the VP in the building.

All you have cited is propaganda.

The Speaker of the House is in Charge of the Capitol Police.

The Sergeant at arms was asked by the chief about additional security and national guard and Pelosi told him no.

Pelosi is never going to be called to answer for her crimes---especially while she controlls the house.

Trumptards, of course....................... believe a retard.

"Why wasn't there a proper security presence at the Capitol that day," Jordan asked at a news conference after House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy pulled all five members he had tapped for the committee in response to Pelosi rejecting two of them. The Ohio Republican added, "Only one person can answer that question. Only one. The Speaker of the United States House of Representatives."

Jane L. Campbell, president and CEO of the US Capitol Historical Society, told CNN that "the Speaker of the House does not oversee security of the US Capitol, nor does this official oversee the Capitol Police Board."

Pelosi also cannot influence who is appointed to the Board, which consists of the House and Senate Sergeants at Arms, the Architect of the Capitol and the Chief of the Capitol Police. The Sergeants at Arms are elected and must be confirmed by their respective chambers and the Architect must be confirmed by both chambers of Congress.

In March, Capitol Police spokesperson John Stolnis told USA TODAY that the agency is overseen by the Capitol Police Board. Several congressional committees also oversee the agency, including the House and Senate appropriations committees, the House administration commitee and the Senate rules committee.

The Capitol Police Board is made up of the House and Senate sergeants-at-arms, as well as the Capitol architect. The Capitol Police chief serves in a non-voting capacity on the board, according to the Capitol Police website.

Pelosi was not a chair or administrator of any committee supervising the Capitol Police at the time of the insurrection. She's not listed on any of those committees' websites today, either.

The Sergeant at arms answers to the speaker.

How about we get an answer as to why there was not adequate security on Jan 6 when Trump had authorized deployment of the DC national Guard?

Nancy and the DC mayor had every opportunity to beef up the Capitol Police force and DCPF presence as well to deter any violence just as they had when BLM/ANTIFA came in force to protest at the Capitol?

The Sergeant at arms answers to the speaker.
You're FOS.

An officer of the House whose history extends back to the First Congress, the Sergeant at Arms is the chamber’s principal law enforcement official, charged with maintaining security on the floor and for the House side of the Capitol complex. The modern Sergeant at Arms serves on the Capitol Police Board and the Capitol Guide Board along with the Senate Sergeant at Arms and the Architect of the Capitol.

Mandated under the current House Rule II, the Sergeant at Arms also enforces protocol and ensures decorum during floor proceedings. The Mace, which symbolizes the authority of the House, is maintained by the Office of the Sergeant at Arms. On occasion, the Sergeant at Arms has presented the Mace to restore order on the floor. The Sergeant at Arms also is empowered to compel absent Members onto the House floor to conduct business.

Congress members answer to them.

Because the lying, traitor didn't.

A government memo about the events leading up to Jan. 6, statements from Pelosi’s office and the Pentagon and testimony from the former House sergeant-at-arms show Trump did not request 10,000 troops ahead of the rally.

Drew Hammill, Pelosi's spokesperson, said that Pelosi’s office was not consulted or contacted regarding any request for the National Guard ahead of Jan. 6, and he noted the speaker of the House does not have the power to reject that type of request.

So, did Moscow McTurtle and republicans but they didn't because they were in on the insurrection.

Well the AG tried to ignore the Democratic ones...

But why wouldn't the Democrats not want to show up... First of all, half the commitee will be Democrats because there not so stupid to give GOP a committee without themselves represented on it... Might even put Pelosi on the committee for a laugh(they won't)..

But they go on ahead, it will be an embarrassing waste of tax payers money..
