If politicians would ever allocate and distribute the receipts (taxes) received from ports, gas, leases, taxes, airport fees, internet, phone…. taxes….to the designed intended recipients , used to justify said taxation in the first place, for these “infrastructure” systems, then there would be no need, and there isn’t, however, unsustainable union pensions, failed government oversight, federal intervention, massive bloated federal bureaucracy, coupled with congressional misappropriation apparently indicates otherwise. So your argument, hallow as it may be discloses the central issue in that all the existing, and proposed taxes, and words from the mouths of your master(s) are in fact rewards for political support. Only a fool buys a Rolls Royce when they can’t afford the payment or maintenance. The next thing you will be saying is we can tax the country into prosperity. Oh well we can continue to disagree, it is still after all America, I think. Let’s not even waste anymore time in discussing mandatory minority contract, union job provisions, or carbon neutral requirements……that drive the finished price even higher and then to subsequent requirement for more!

These projects are desperately needed in Red States, yet their elected Representatives put Party over their own people

If there are new programs in it, that will never be eliminated and then rise more and more over the years and decades, it is nit a good thing. We have been warned by the real economic science over and over and now we are forced to send checks out to children that will be expanded massively alone.
