Now Eric. Trump loaded 1.5bil into his version of a bill to tear down the old fbi building that was going to be demolished and sold. It could have been a hotel competeing with Trumps.

But medical dispensaries provide real theraputic meds, and "reg" dispencaries were declared essential businesses so they didn't close, but they are prevented for gettign the small biz loans .... which this is about. But it's always nice to hear you unformed opinions.

Was it the questioning whether she was was actually saying marijuana was a covid therapy or the fact that, while knowing the money taken by trump for the wall absolutely without a doubt had to be replaced, but I was not in favor it it went back in, only to be plundered again before he leave office. The constitution is pretty clear on how money is to be appropriated. I haven't heard a push for a constitutional convention to change that, so apparently political leaders on both sides are not wanting to go there.

The majority of articles I read say she wants to include legislation for Banking.

I have also read many research articles that there may be some benefit of cannabis in relation to Covid.

Seemed counter intuitive to me because most of my experience with pot was in my youth and was always smoked, often leading to raw throat, bronchial tube and lung irritation that sometimes resulted in brochitis or a condition we called "dope throat". When I vacation to a "free man" state in modern times, I usually hit a joint or two while there, reminding me of both the high and the throat/lung irritation. There could be something to what the article said but early to say or buy in. I have not done any of the cannabis oils and very few candies or cookies. I am in favor of studying just about anything. No matter what a study brings and doctoral thesis gets it wings?

I tried smoking it when I received my medical card 3 years ago and couldn't handle it (wasn't like 50 years ago) or vaping so I do the tinctures and put a few drops in cup of coffee mid afternoon. I have made cookies and brownies a couple of times one with drops and seem to put too much in and a batch of brownies with raw ground flower and also used too much. I have it down now to just a few drops in coffee.

It is a matter of perspective. I am in Tennessee. It is not nearly as dire appearing as the hair-on-fire issue demagogues purport it to be, at least not in west tennessee. Of course we are not governed by Democrat governor and legislative body, possibly giving the illegal too much latitude, along with the employers that pay them to generate their profits. During a press conference on Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) defended including cannabis in the House’s coronavirus legislation and argued cannabis “is a therapy that has proven successful” and is related to coronavirus.
Pelosi was asked, “Republicans and the administration got a lot of heat when they released their bill. Because there was a lot of unrelated things in there, including money for the FBI building, money for defense to replenish the wall. There’s some things in your bill that’s not directly related to COVID, like they’re talking about cannabis or the SALT reduction. Are those things that you’re willing to also strip out of the bill?”
Pelosi responded, “Well, I don’t agree with you that cannabis is not related to this. This is a therapy that has proven successful, and it is by no means of the caliber of money or misrepresentation that remodeling the federal building is for over a billion dollars so that another hotel doesn’t come in there and compete with the president’s hotel. That’s what that’s all about. That has nothing to do with the coronavirus. So, we’re going to have to come to some compromise on the legislation. I just don’t accept that there’s any equivalence in what you put forth there.”

You have to admit she's one crazy old lady. Trump talks about medicine that works and the Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrat Leftists go nuts, then Nancy comes along claiming that getting stoned is the therapy we need to fight the Chinese Wuhan Virus.
Indeed, the Congressional leader of the Democratic Party now recommends people suffering from a respiratory disease, inhale unfiltered, and carcinogenic smoke of Cannabis into the lungs as a remedy!!! And Trump is the dangerous one?

Marijuana is a useful therapy for a lot of things, but had not heard it useful as a therapy for Covid, not sure she meant it that way, but what ever.
Another thing is the wording of "money for defense to replenish the wall.". Does that mean there is money to repair or replace sections of the wall or did they put back the money trump stole from the military to build the wall? I am all for replacing the stolen funds, but not if trump is just going to sign the legislation with the money for the military and pillage it again before the election or between election and leaving office in January for that matter. It was better in the old days when the constitution said congress had the per strings and we jailed people who misdirected funds. I am not up for a revolving slush fund to be restocked, but reassigned at whim, without congressional approval.

We can. Just not efficiently or cost effectively. Most places in the world I have been to, you usually do not even realize exactly when crossed a border, even on ground transportation and certainly not by air. The vast majority of foreigners coming into this country come by air. The majority of illegal aliens have simple/purposefully overstayed their visa, not sneaked across the southern border. I am no politician. Congress can spend my tax dollars any way they choose, and you probably will not see me out protesting, (as I like where and how I live), but it does not mean I do not know gross inefficiency and political rabble rousing for issue politics sake when I see it from either side. Illegal immigration as an issue is a real money maker, both to the economy and to both political parties. They are not going to solve it and kill the golden goose.

I agree with your reasoning and add that the drug problem in America is also related to the same facts. In the end there's truth in "Follow the Money".....

Yeah, Debbie, a lot of crap not like 50 years ago. Damn shame this generation missed it. Cannot really experiment with it in my state as it is not a "free man" state, and I generally stay within the laws whether I like them or not. Can't really experiment much on vacation either, as time is limited, and some things I have to be clear to do, lest I do something stupid and tear up something that doesn't heal as will as 50 years ago. If they ever legalize, even for medical purposes here, I will be on board, knowing it is not the totally corrupting demon claimed by the right wing.
