What did China have to do with the administrations response to the new virus? Granted Trumpybear heaped praise on China's President at first, but soon he was confronted with the scientific realities of the virus. He chose to downplay the virus and hope it wasn't a bad as the scientist predicted.

We remember history. When a person that survived Pearl harbor told me 9/11 was worse. More people died on 9/11 AND was a unprecedented attack on Americans soil ever.

Many solid conservatives back in FDR's day said that FDR deliberately and needlessly provoked Japan to attack because he was obsessed with saving the Soviet Union and because he feared that Japan would attack the Soviets on their eastern front (north of Manchuria and Outer Mongolia), and history has certainly proved that they had a valid point.
Few Americans under 60 know that FDR was strangling Japan's economy with draconian sanctions, and that Japan attacked Pearl Harbor only after FDR had made it clear that he would not lift the sanctions no matter how many reasonable peace offers Japan made (and they made several).
