Zone1 Paying Reparations for the Past

Incorrect. The government made slavery legal. So the government created the human rights violations. You really need to think before you post.
Show me where the United States made slavery legal? The British made slavery legal in the colonies and the northern states lacked the political power in either 1776 or 1787 to end it. When the northern states finally achieved the power, they immediately ended slavery. It took seventy-three years, three hundred thirty-four thousand six hundred and eight Union deaths and two hundred seventy-five thousand Union injuries to manage the task. And don't come back with your stupid Corwin Amendment. It was barely passed by the congress and only ratified by FIVE states, two of which were slave states. It was a last-ditch attempt to avoid a war.
