is it any wonder these fundy christians are looked at as mentally ill

On “The 700 Club” today, Pat Robertson responded to a concerned viewer who feared that ever since her family moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, they have been exposed to “New Age spirituality” such as “dream catchers, yoga [and] veganism,” and wondered whether she should let her daughter take “yoga classes with one of her friends.”

Robertson cautioned that while there is nothing wrong with stretching exercises, “along with yoga they have a mantra, and the mantra you say is in Hindu.”

“You don’t know what the Hindu says, but actually it’s a prayer to a Hindu deity and so it sounds like gibberish.

Have you ever seen a Holyroller under the Spirit? Scary as hell.

But yoga also leads to tight asses in yoga pants. I'm okay with inadvertently praying to some Hindu god if it means that some soccer mom's butt is worth looking at.

Yoga's part of Hinduism. Concerns about this is why Jews and Christians and others have their own versions of Yoga.

“You don’t know what the Hindu says, but actually it’s a prayer to a Hindu deity and so it sounds like gibberish ..."

As opposed to the gibberish of the bible, book of mormon, koran and "speaking in tongues"?

If Robertson was ever sane, its long gone now.

Question:If christians catch the holy ghost during sunday worship, what do Hindi catch during yoga exercises?

Kinda ironic, ignorant, and hypocritical when Christians rail against non-Christian religious practices when Christianity itself is considered an idolatrous practice. Most all of the following anti-idolatry commandments would apply to Christianity as well as every other non-Jewish religion.

that was the now dead fat boy, rev jerry fartwell

Is that the same guy who told his followers, all teary eyed and blubbering, that if he didn't get exactly 8 million dollars Jesus was going to take him away to heaven. Sniffle, sniffle..

Astonishingly, he did claim to have raised the money but the good Lord must have thought that he should be dead anyway. Maybe he lied and only actually raised six and a half million.Maybe he raised 12 million and kept the change? Who can say?

Lesson learned; don't fuck with Jesus..
