Did Trump fire anyone involved? No. So what law was he enforcing is a great question, given he didn't enforce any law at all.
Trump was making a different point in that context.
Here you have a guy who makes $126 Million, refusing to simply stand for the flag of the country that allows him to be a 1/4 Billionaire, for merely playing a game.
That is the height of spoiled brat ungratefulness. Why? Because he can't have respect for the country, that allows him to be in the top 1%, of the top 1% of the wealthy people on the face of the Earth?
Nothing irritates blue collar workers who put in real hard time making a living for themselves, and here this spoiled brat rich kid, making hundreds of millions, can't even show respect for the country, that is allowing him to live a life of luxury that 99% of the planet can't even dream about.
There is also a business element. He was harming the business. And there is no question that he did. Even CBS which has every ideological reason to lie, came to the conclusion that CK did in fact harm ratings.

There is no question about it. He damaged the league.
So to be blunt, he deserved to be fired, just as any of us would, if we damaged the business of our employers. If you ran a store, and you hired me to be an employee of your store, and I started using your store to make political statements that offended customers, you would fire me, and rightly so.

It was a peaceful protest. Protest is NOT generally about you. It's about others. Millions of whites are protesting.

Supporting peaceful protests, doesn't mean anywhere. You come to my house, and start protesting inside my house... I'm going to get my 9MM, and escort you to the door, and remove you by force if necessary.
You can protest elsewhere, not at my house, or my business.
Again, you can say you support peaceful protests, but if you ran a store, and I showed up and started "peacefully protesting" all your customers away so you go out of business.... you would have me removed. If I was an employee, you would have me fired.
And rightly so. Don't deny it. That makes you a liar, because you know if your paycheck was dependent on removing some protestors, you would have them removed. Don't even try to claim otherwise.
Peaceful protest isn't where everyone loves your protest. If everyone agreed with you there is no need to protest.
I do NOT have to agree for it to be a legitimate protest.
Yes, we can read between the lines. Many who say they support peaceful protest mean they support it as.long as it's done privately where they do not have to see it.

You don't have the right to protest where ever you want. If the NFL decides their games are not political stages for protests, they have the right to fire employees that are damaging their business.

I agree with Trump. Nothing is more irritating than a spoiled brat rich kid, trying to protest how unfair life is, when he makes, what was a total of $250 Million over the course of his career of doing what? Was he finding a cure for cancer, saving refugees from sinking boats, helping Haitians rebuild their huts, fighting Ebola in Africa?

And yeah they didn't fire him, although they should have. It is clear that his protesting harmed the NFL. I remember 2017, when for the first time since I have memory, during the family reunion on Thanksgiving, we didn't have football on the TV.
We have a family reunion every single year, and there was not one time in the prior 30 years, that we didn't have Football on the TV. Not that year. No one wanted to see it.
And NFL ratings have continue to slide. And they should. Football and sports in general is where you go to detach from the problems of the world, where you come together to cheer on your team, without division and political crap.
CK screwed that up. And the NFL refuse to protect their business, and just repercussions are being felt. If this keeps up, and ad revenue continues to slide, because ratings are falling, soon all those spoiled rich brats that want to protest the unfairness of their ridiculous lavish lifestyles... will start to see their salaries decline.
And honestly, divine justice in my book. The few areas black people can earn an unbelievable amount of money, will be destroyed by their own protests. Serves them right.
Trump can have any opinion he wants but he is plainly full of crap when he says he supports peaceful protest when he called for those doing that to be fired.

There is no "right time". That's not how it works.
Sure there is. I can think of many protests that I thought were fine, even if I disagreed with what they were protesting for.
Prefect example, the OWS. Obviously I disagree with everything that OWS stands for, and I thought their goals were crap, reasons were stupid, and thought they should have gone and gotten a job, and started carrying the water instead of only drinking it.
However, when they first started out, there plan of protesting in the park, was fine with me. Everyone could see what they were screaming, they were getting their idiotic message out, everything was fine.
Same with tea party. They held protests in the park, made their voices heard that they hated giving out bailouts.
Perfectly fine place and time.
Many examples like that.
Now OWS got off the rails later on, when they started taking over private property, and smashing windows.... like all scum sucking left-wingers do.... You didn't see that happen at the tea party protests.
But I was totally fine with all of those.
So, yes there is a proper place and time to protest.
Again, if you ran a store, and was your employee, and I started protesting against government run health care in your store, causing customers to leave..... you would conclude that this was not the place and time to hold a protest.
It's easy for you to say "that's not how it works" when it doesn't effect you. If it did, you wouldn't be saying that.
