Any vaccination proof will have nothing to do with passports. Passports are issued for 10 years, and the only agencies which can mark a passport are the US State Department and the Department of Homeland Security.

Now, will other countries require proof of vaccination? Well, maybe, yeah. But it won't be on your passport...

Right now, you can't travel at all. So allowing partial openings is good.

And why would a country want to risk allowing people in who aren't vaccinated? That endangers their own populations.

It's not the passport itself that requires a vaccination. Various countries have entry requirements that on occasion can include being vaccinated. I know that when I was in the Navy and deployed to certain areas, certain shots were required. And, when doing overseas screenings for people being transferred to other countries, sometimes certain shots unique for that area were required.

And yeah, other countries DO have the right to decide who they will and won't let into their country. Remember when Trump banned all travel from China when this thing started? Pretty much the same thing, we decided who we would and wouldn't let into this country because of the virus, and other countries can do the same.

Hawaii is requiring people who show up there without a test to quarantine for 14 days. If you tested negative before arriving, there is a chance you could be randomly selected for a second test.

But, the only 2 states that can do that are Hawaii and Alaska, all the other states you can simply drive to without any kind of checkpoints.
