Parlers victim status exposed as nonsense

The general argument is that big tech is stifling free speech by stamping down on free thinking outliers who kick against the establishment.

This is the reality -

Among those posts, which are documented in the court filing, were blatant calls to kill political opponents, elected officials, and public figures. "On January 20th we need to start systematicly [sic] assassinating [sic] #liberal leaders, liberal activists, #blm leaders and supporters," one post read. Another included a call to "Shoot the police that protect these shitbag senators right in the head then make the senator grovel a bit before capping they ass."
Other posts contained violent, white supremacist rhetoric. "White people need to ignite their racial identity and rain down suffering and death like a hurricane upon zionists," one user wrote. “We need to act like our forefathers did Kill [Black and Jewish people] all Leave no victims or survivors,” another stated. Amazon included 15 such examples in its court filing.

Conservatives are still going to lie about being 'victims.'

You are on a site which enforces rules to protect the people who own this forum from losing their forum. On this site you have people banned for doing the same because if they didn't there would not be a forum named USMB.
But ALL of USMB wouldn't be shut down based on the comments of a few people.
Offending parties would be sanctioned or banned and things would just go on.

That's why this thread is so idiotic and your jibber jabber is too.
Parlor has been pulled down because of who they are...not what a few people said.

Try to catch up with most Americans.

So to be clear.....

We can't call for the executions of people on this message board??

How about doxing people and posting their addresses -- we can't do that either??

Can we have free speech here or not?

First troll that was ever banned from USMB for making threats should of shut this whole site down?

Great logic, dipshit.

It would if they did not edit them like I said before.
In the filing, which was first reported by the Seattle Times and obtained by Mic, the e-commerce giant shows how exactly Parler violated its terms of service, and describes Parler's content moderation style as a "hands-off approach."

Now dipshit can you follow with the rest of Americans?

China sent out a tweet openly admitting to sterilizing Muslim women in China. Iran has spoken about destroying Israel.

Both tweets remained (well, they deleted Chinas after some pressure), and certainly both accounts remain not even suspended. How about Farahkanh and other anti-semites and Black Panther wannabes?

Look, if something is said that is violent, the authorities can apply for a warrant. Social media companies are either publishers or platforms. Which is it?

I don't condone or endorse these sick comments, but, it's a massive over reach to shut down an entire business because of it. It's a fraud in doing so in fact. If all individual crimes meant the collective end of their businesses, who would be left standing?

Rhetoric according to Aristotle:

  1. Ethos is appeal based on the character of the speaker. An ethos-driven document relies on the reputation of the author.
  2. Logos is appeal based on logic or reason. Documents distributed by companies or corporations are logos-driven. Scholarly documents are also often logos-driven.
  3. Pathos is appeal based on emotion. Advertisements tend to be pathos-driven.

Hate and fear rhetoric is Pathos, in today's parlance the publication in question is propaganda; used to motivate the biddable to action - sans logic as we saw on the day of infamy, Jan 6th, 2021. It is tantamount to yelling fire in a crowded theater.

"Words are more dangerous than guns. We do not allow out enemies to have guns, why would we allow them to speak?" - Founding father of the democrat party, Joseph Stalin.

Your quote is wrong, the actual quote from Stalin is:

"Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas?"

Stalin was not born when President Jackson was elected as the First Democratic President.

This quote is more in tune with Trumpism; both Stalin and Trump are Authoritarian, not democratic, not republican and not supporters of democracy.

Free speech isn't nonsense, Tommy. You'd understand that if you ever lived in a free country.

It would if they did not edit them like I said before.
Parlor is suing Amazon. They seem to disagree with a legal wizard like you.
Now dipshit can you follow with the rest of Americans?
What is this supposed to mean? The rest of America is in favor of Big Tech shutting down free speech?
Oh...I forgot what an idiot you are.

Please tell us how Amazon is required to force Parler to do anything about these individuals making clear calls for violence.

This is a law enforcement issue, not a moderation issue, and it's certainly none of Amazon's concern.

Amazon has a brand to protect. That is best served sans parler and other sub human receptacles.

You mean a monopoly to protect. If Parler won't tell people what they can and cannot say
then there goes Facebook and Twitter's monopoly.
Why would I give my business to "subhuman receptacles" like those two when I am not censored
at Parler?

It's a superior business plan. Something dimwits and retrograde fools like yourself fear and cannot
fathom or tolerate. Freedom is like that.

If someone made a post calling for executions...and no-one noticed for a few hours...because no one took them seriously enough to report them...should the whole site be removed?

What if the site was a ten times bigger and 10 people out of 10,000 made improper posts?

How about one thousand times bigger? Are you saying USMB would be forced to invest in an AI network in order to operate?

That's ludicrous.
