Paid shills for Occupy Wall Street?

Answer the ad, you'll find the job isn't for "protesting". It's for knocking on doors, asking for money.

I worked for the Working Families Party for 6 years - and I answered an ad on craigslist just like that for the job.

From the ad you posted:

"We're organizing in communities around New York State -- but we don't hire people to Occupy Wall Street. Then again, if you believe the laughable conspiracy theories from Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, this is probably the wrong job for you anyway."

Whoops!

It's Obama's Movement and will pull Dems down to Third Party Status before they're done

Here in Chicago they've been advertising and paying progressives to "organize" for the last 4 years..

It's pretty pathetic...

I have been bitching about these "organize" craigslist ads for years...

The progressives are shit because they have to pay people to promote their ideas...

They came to my house one time and I made sure they understood they were uneducated indoctrinated solicitors that weren't welcome around here and slammed the door in its little zit face.

It was fun after I listened to this zit faced kid explain what socialism is - in which he made it sound like a Disney movie...

I had to give the little pizza face a brief history of socialism..

I feel bad because he was just a kid, but at the same time the kid was pushing Maoist ideas - and being a kid it was very disturbing - very creepy and Maoish..

The WFP has a proud record of fighting for issues that matter and has been instrumental in implementing key pieces of legislation such as Raising New York's Minimum Wage, Enacting Living Wage Laws, ......

Compensation: $350-$650 A Week.

The minimum wage in New York State is $7.25/Hour, with few exceptions
Minimum Wages - New York State Department of Labor

At least they put their money where their ideology is: Their minimum wage is $8.75/hr

That's starting pay. Raises come fairly quickly.

No one gets rich working in the non-profit sector.

In the not-for-profit sector at the upper management level, they sure do.

In fact, if I were to start a business, that is exactly the format I would use. Sa-weet government contracts and other perks.

The Executive Director at the Working Families Party makes around $45 grand as a salary. He's the highest paid person in the organization.

It depends on the organization.

Isn't that a front for the Communist Party?

So how is this not astroturf?

$350-600 per week to protest?

FIGHT TO HOLD WALLSTREET ACCOUNTABLE NOW! MAKE A DIFFERNENCE GET PAID!

You're basing this post on a CRAIGSLIST advertisment?

Man! are YOU DUMB!

Why?

It's an advertisement for a job and it's linked to the organization's actual website where they do indeed accept applications.

TheDoctorIsIn even said they hire although he says they are not jobs protesting but canvassing to raise money.

How does this make me "dumb?"

I'm aware of their claim. ACORN claimed it broke no laws. The Longshoremen claimed their protest was peaceful. The OWS crowd claims - well it's hard to know what it's actually claiming.

I wouldn't use the word "dumb", but your OP claims that the job application is to be paid to protest, which is certainly not the case.

Don't believe everything you hear on talk radio.
