Holder says Iranian agents tried to recruit a Mexican drug cartel to kill the ambassador of Saudi Arabia. Holder knows all about Mexican drug cartels. His department has been illegally supplying them with weapons.
Iranian parliament member Alaeddin Boroujerdi called the accusation a plot to divert the public opinion from the crisis Obama is grappling with.
However Iranians arent the only ones who dont buy the claims.
Volker Perthes, an Iran expert who is the director of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs in Berlin, stated, everyone is extremely skeptical about U.S. intelligence revelations.
Was the assassination plot an actual plot or just entrapment? The main piece of evidence is a paid informant. Here is the actual indictment.
The charges are largely based on the actions of CS-1. According the indictment, CS-1 was Previously charged in connection with narcotics offenses. It goes on in exchange for CS-1s cooperation in various narcotics investigations, the state charges were dismissed.
Of the twenty-one page indictment, fourteen of those pages are completely covered in references to CS-1. When the DOJ foils plots using criminals turned paid agent provocateurs, I take everything with a grain of salt.
