Trump poised for a September fight over border wall.
Funding for President Trump’s proposed border wall is poised to be a central issue in this fall’s showdown over government funding.

Unless Congress approves a new funding bill, the government will shut down on Oct. 1.

Well, IT said it tonight. It will shut down gobmint for great Wall funding.

Well, Orange stupid spew, AGAIN!

1) IT can not sign whatever bill IT's given. Gets no wall. Which then shutdown gobmint. Where nothing gets done.

2) IT can sign the bill into law, and get no wall funding. Claim IT will get the money from illegals in the country. Call it a win.

Government "shutdowns" are more nuanced than you think.

The debt ceiling should be tied to borrowed funds.
They should pass a law, that pay's all bills, but military.
See how fast budgets are passed.

btw..Vote.

If the wall costs some 18-25B plus to build.
What is the point, if it gets 1B in 2018 funding?
Really, that will all go into the pockets of builders as prep. Few walls go up.
If IT's out in 4 years or less. That would be another promise not kept.
As no one else will complete the wasteful wall.

btw. Some say if funding is gotten, still, it will take 10-15 years
to complete. So again, an unfinished wall.

FYI: The Congress can pass a budget, The Douche can veto, but the if Congress has a veto proof vote. :itsok: poor Douche

I feel they will pass a veto proof Budget continuation bill, soonest.
Who needs the LOSER Orange TrumPigOlini? Just something alive that can sign or not. 10 days later it's a law. by way of Pocket Veto.

Sometimes the president chooses to do nothing with bills that Congress sends. If the president still has not signed or vetoed the bill after ten days, the bill becomes law if Congress is in session. If Congress has since adjourned, the bill does not become law. This is called a pocket veto.

Shut 'er down.

So that's a no, for wall funds.

With the Democrats facing blame for a government shutdown, the wall will be built. They can only obstruct for so long before this country kicks the whole lot of them to the curb. Don't think it will happen? Just wait until 2018.

You're ... :cuckoo:
Try harder. Dems will be happy to pass a major bill, that fucks over the Douche.

Ohhh. Myyy..Myyy. What a happy dog shit bag here. It looks like a snapping turtle gots his balls.

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Wednesday that a government shutdown over President Trump’s border wall wasn’t necessary, instead asking the president to give Congress more time to fund the wall through regular order.

Ryan's remark that “no one” wants a government shutdown came after Trump said Tuesday night that he would veto a must-pass government funding bill if it didn’t include money for his promised wall along the southern border.
“There are very legitimate problems and concerns on the border that need to be addressed,” Ryan said, but “we’re going to need more time to complete our appropriations process, especially in the Senate.”
