One year ago today Biden claimed Taliban would not take over Afghanistan

"The general said he met the head of the Taliban’s political wing, Abdul Ghani Baradar, on Aug. 15 in Doha “to pass a message to him that we were withdrawing and if they attempted to disrupt that withdrawal we would punish them severely for that.”

During the meeting, the Taliban offered to let the U.S. military secure Kabul, but McKenzie said agreeing to such an offer was not in his instructions and “we did not have the resources to undertake that mission.”

Asked whether the Taliban’s offer was conveyed to President Biden, McKenzie said he did not know,"

LOL So some General decides on his own and he doesn't know if Biden was in the loop? You know Biden is the C-in-C. That makes it even worse but stick with that.

Quid Pro was in charge and had access to all the intel. This was the choice HE made, and you want to blame it on TRUMP!? We were told that he had vast experience in Washington and in foreign affairs. Why, he had almost 50 years in office. And THIS was the choice he made. TRUMP! didn't force him to choose it, it was his choice. if he didn't like the plan or thought it was a bad one, he could change it. Obviously, he thought it was just fine.
Blame what on Trump? The fact that Benedict Donnie withdrew most of our troops and forced our allied to comply with the Accords while letting the Taliban Skate on most of the conditions they agree to meet? That was all said and done well before Jan 21st. How about the fact that there was no plan to withdraw the remaining forces. That set the stage for the Afghan Army's and government's collapse as well as the ISIS terrorist attack on the Kabul airport.

Yeah just some Generals? Lol.

There wasn't a US soldier killed for over a year until Biden's watch and that bombing took place killing 13 soldiers.
Quelling the ISIS threat in Afghanistan and especially Kabul was one of the conditions that Benedict Donald allowed the Taliban to ignore. That being said, it is hard for me to blame anyone but the terrorists themselves for the SBers.

All of which became Quid Pro's responsibility when he took office. No plan? That's on him. If there was a missing plan, it was his job to call a halt until we knew what we were going to do. Didn't he look around and ask, "Hey, are we doing anything right now I should be aware of and maybe check out to see if it's a good idea?", or was he too busy blindly trying to reverse everything TRUMP! did, whether it made sense to do so or not? The bottom line is, I do not for a moment think he wasn't briefed extensively about the withdrawal, since it was such a highly visible political event. After all, democrats are all about image. If he wasn't paying attention, that's on him. If he ignored the plan, that's on him. He owned the plan, it became his when he took office, and apparently he thought it was a good plan, because he carried through on it. If there were military experts telling him Afghanistan was going to fall and he did nothing to change the plan, that's on him. The bottom line remains, it was his responsibility to make the calls.

The condition that existed on Jan 21st became his problem. All of what I described occurred before that.

The Biden administration through the National Security Council process conducted a rigorous interagency review of the situation in Afghanistan in February, March and April. During this process, the views of the joint chiefs of staff, all of us, the CENTCOM commander, General McKenzie, the [US 4A commander 00:33:49], General Miller and myself were all given serious consideration by the administration. We provided a broad range of options and our assessment of their potential outcomes. The cost benefit, risk to-

… of their potential outcomes. The cost, benefit, risk to force, and risk to mission were evaluated against the national security objectives of the United States. On 14 April, the president announced his decision, and the US military received a change of mission to retrograde all US military forces, maintain a mall contingency force of 600 to 700 to protect the embassy in Kabul until the Department of State could coordinate contractor security support, and also to assist Turkey to maintain the Karzai International Airport, and transition the US military to an over-the-horizon counterterrorism support and security force assistance.

Seriously, you're been groomed.

You poor thing.

The Taliban offered to allow US forces to maintain security over Kabul until we were fully withdrawn, Biden said no.

Is English not your first language?

In other words, we should trust the Taliban to keep their word? The same Taliban that wants to own Afghanistan?

Is this what constitutes trumptard logic? No wonder Rump loves his poorly educated retards. :itsok:

You truly area derp.

And a waste of time.

Yeah, you've got nothing. Bye (Ignore it is).

Do you mean the deal that Rump put together?

Speaking at the White House, Mr Trump congratulated Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Defense Secretary Mark Esper and "the people of the United States for having spent so much in terms of blood, in terms of treasure, and treasury."

He said the Taliban had been trying to reach an agreement with the US for a long time, and that he had faith in the deal because "everyone is tired of war."

In a speech, Mr Pompeo urged the militant group to "keep your promises to cut ties with al-Qaeda".

Did the Taliban keep their promises to cut ties with Al-Qaeda? LOL

How soon the trumptards forget.

Biden had months to prepare for it, and instead of making sure it was an orderly transition and exit, it was an utter catastrophe.

That's what I said. He looked at the plan and approved of it. It's now his.
