Have a more pessimistic view. Think any radical increase in lfiespan will only cause proportionally more problems. Competition for finite non-renewable resources is going on already with perhaps a 75 year lifespan. Double that and competition just gets worse.

Yes, and inderminate lifespan would be create problems. As has the increase from an average lifespan of 45 years to over 70 years in one century. So perhaps we had better start thinking with our big head instead of the little one.
