In 2006 one state nullified the REAL ID act and it stopped it right there from being enacted throughout the United States. I wonder how hard will this healthcare bill be to enforce if all 37 states passed their healthcare nullification bills now sitting in state legislatures.

This could be a very interesting developement.

If even a quarter of the states refuse the mandates demanded by this bill, much less 37, will this force a Constitutional Convention? Maybe The Big 0 will literally end the Republic.

A President of consequence(s)?

37 is a big number in this arena. 38 is even bigger.

Article V - Amendment Note1 - Note2 - Note3
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

What if all the states except, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Oregon and Washington, nullified the obamie??? would there be a mass exodus to those five states?? doyathink?

Here is what *I* fear as to the question of a Constitutional Convention?

It's a dangerous premise in the current climate, when there are too many spineless fence sitters, and too many that have NO REGARD for the process.

So in that veign? I am against such measures. There are too many that could derail it, and we could wind up with something that would turn the Constituton on it's ear...never to recover unless there was bloodshed.

Do you have a CLUE? How difficult it is to pass an amendment?

FUCKING MORONS

I'm dealing with FUCKING MORONS

Dont be overly optimistic.

Indeed. it would create a challange unto the Courts...and i wouldn't put it past the Democrat Statist Prgressives to FORCE the issue.

*AND* What IF they refused to cotow to the Courts? Could we have a civil war? *I THINK* that's what the Statists are hoping for so they can declare *Marshal Law*...

You forget, it only takes 5 judges to uphold this monstrousity. They have 4. They've already ripped the Constitution apart to get this far. You think they'll let one person stop them? All it takes is an "accident" and Obama appoints a replacement.

Let's see, we would need 38 states to call a Constitutional Convention. We already have 37 states who oppose this mandate. If they fail in the courts, what exactly is going to stop the States from holding a Convention?

If 37 States approve legislation BARRING the bill then I would say it would not be that hard to get 38 to pass an amendment.

I don't think an "accident" will happen to one of the judges...but we got 5 and that's all it takes to end this bullshit union giveaway once and for all.
