When it's colder one place, it's warmer in another. Just as when you have a fireplace and fire going, adjacent bedrooms get measurably colder due to heat 'sucking' in adjacent heat, this phenomenae works on the scale of the planet too. I recall this exact same argument being made in the environment section about a year ago. And we very thoroughly bitchslapped it down by explaining that the reason a fire place "sucks" the heat out of a room is because warm air ends up escaping out of the chimney. Not because of the idiotic notion that a fire "sucks" the heat from adjacent areas. God, you are a fucking idiot.
