Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that Democrats will not bring to the House floor a clean emergency spending bill for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
GOP Whip Roy Blunt had this zinger response:
Troop funding should be a fascinating wedge issue for those commanders-in-chief facing tough re-election battles in 2008.
