Some tea party activists are looking to form a militia to combat what they view as infringements on state sovereignty.

Tea party movement leaders say they’ve discussed the idea with several supportive lawmakers and hope to get legislation next year to recognize a new volunteer force. They say the unit would not resemble militia groups that have been raided for allegedly plotting attacks on law enforcement officers.

J.W. Berry is!

Tea party leader J.W. Berry of the Tulsa-based OKforTea began soliciting interest in a state militia through his newsletter under the subject “Buy more guns, more bullets.”

“It’s not a far-right crazy plan or anything like that,” Berry said. “This would be done with the full cooperation of the state Legislature

Truthfully all the teabaggers I personally know are also gun nuts. they went to a 2nd ammendemnt rights rally at the state capitol a few weeks ago with guns hanging all over them.
All 300 of them looked pretty childish. I only knew about 6 of them though.
Looked like a Rambo fan club.

Strange people , well educated and all, but strange.

Let me say it again, because a lot of you still don't get it:

There are no 'tea party leaders.'

Are we clear on this now?

The grim reality is that there is a growing sentiment that violence is the only cure to a government that is out of touch and out of control.

also, as usual from you, your post is mere deflection

yea because voting never changed anything or is that when dim people lose mental battles they immediately turn to violence?

Huh? Try not to project something that isn't part of me into my clear words about a reality.

Very true. I've been saying there's another revolution coming for years, right here on this board.

Wait until the draconian cuts in entitlements come, because that is the ONLY thing that can save us. There WILL be civil unrest. It IS coming, and our government IS to blame. There are 545 people in Washington that have put America's economy in the predicament it's in. Not the people, but the politicians. And before you say well we voted them there, yes we did, but they all made one hell of a lot of promises that they NEVER KEPT, and now the new fad appears to be to SHIT ON the constitution. In my opinion, I think an armed revolution just might be in order.

We tried peaceful. We've been trying it for almost 150 years. Time for something different...

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.
