SAE board hires attorney to explore possible legal action agains

The board of the OU chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon voted late Thursday to hire attorney Stephen Jones to "protect the integrity" of the chapter and it's members, Jones tells Fox 25.

Stephen Jones, now going on 75 years old, was the lead defense-atty for Timothy McVeigh at his trail in 1997.

There is also a certain antipathy between Mr. Jones and OSU President David Boren:

Mr. Jones came to fame with the 1997 trial, but he worked for Ricard Nixon as far back as 1964. He also wrote "The Case against Presidential impeachment" in 1974 and "Was President Nixon Guilty: The Case For The Defense" in 1978.

It seems he has had a very varied and colorful career. Good for him.

Oh, and BTW, he lost that McVeigh case from 1997...
