OK admit it, you like Van Halen!

I agree about Van Hagar. He actually had the better voice, but there was something about the sound of David Lee Roth's voice and those weird screams he would do, it worked perfect with that group.
 
I got to see them in 1982 - Diver Down- Fair Warning tour
up in Richfield Ohio. At that time there was no band firing up that kind of energy - packed house on their feet all night pretty much...Alex's drums sound amazing live too.

I remember the first time I heard EVH play and I liken it to someone hearing Hendrix for the first time.

I really like their early stuff and still listen to it from time to time.

Eddie was a true guitar god.
 
I tend to separate the musicians from the band. I can not like a band as a whole or their songs and still enjoy the talent of the musicians
