Ohio political group asks Trump to impose martial law, hold new election

If you want to go to globalization sure. That's what the world, seems to want.

I, and others, see that as the death of historic America.

Nationalism vs globalization under another name.

I think we have been heading towards some form of globalization for decades now and you can’t unscramble that egg imo.

Also canceling student debt, mass immigration, stacking the Supreme Court, I don't view as moderate.

You can't expect people to give up a country easily either. You want it, great. But thinking everyone should just accept it will never bridge that divide I refer to.

Refusing to listen and forcing it, that's where civil war talk comes from. If Trump wants, to protect traditional America what's his next move if the next admin will keep going in that direction?

Doubtful he would alter the court, I think he said that in fact. Bringing up the numbers of refugees to former levels is a good thing in my view. I don’t know about mass immigration, but we do need serious retooling of our immigration. Canceling student debt is pretty far left. I don’t know how that would work.

Ohio political group asks Trump to impose martial law, hold new election

Excerpt from the above article:

"COLUMBUS (WCMH) — An Ohio-based political organization is calling on President Donald Trump to impose limited martial law and conduct a new presidential election, a move that Ohio’s Republican attorney general called “utterly irresponsible.”

The We the People Convention, based in Akron, took out a full-page ad in the Washington Times on Tuesday, asking Trump to “invoke limited martial law in order to allow the U.S. military to oversee a new and fair federal election,” according to a news release."

Yikes? I suppose? Well then, America—we're already (most of us) under state and local COVID-19 pandemic restrictions which strongly "resemble" martial law. So, I guess . . . why not? But can they at least wait until after mid-December to do it? Personal reasons and all that. But seriously, our Republic or the future survival of it at least, hangs in the balance of who actually won the 2020 presidential election. All common sense evidence points to mass systemic election fraud and now, interference from foreign and domestic based hostile actors. So I agree with the call for suspension of the entire process—at least until the whole SNAFU can be sorted out legally, objectively and factually. Let's do it.
A do-over? where did these people go to school? This ain't Tee-Ball. They should act their age.

NO its not, its the majors and with a lot at stake. Everyone should want fair elections, not just republicans.
But, it was a fair election, even by Barr's reckoning, which pissed of donnie some more.

I would hope he wouldn't. But people demand revenge and, payback.

We need to review our immigration policy on the whole. Not just a wall and Mexico. But mass amnesty is foolish.

We, teach a generation they don't have to honor their commitments and upset all those who did. Build a better education system, stop overspending on this one.

Now, what would globalization look like to you? Who's, "top dog"? How is it different than what we are now? Br3xit said, Brittain wasn't ready for it. Their huge gripe was having to pay debt for other countries.

To me it's wealth redistribution.

This is indeed ignorant idiocy.

Unfortunately, for all you Trumpbot sycophants, the U.S. military is sworn to uphold the Constitution. There isn't a chance in hell that they would accept an illegal and treasonous order like the OP suggests.

Trump lost, Biden won. Grow the fuck up!!!
the constitution says a lot of things and some of it covers this,,,
Wrong.

The Constitution authorizes marital only when two conditions come to pass:

When a jurisdiction or jurisdictions are subject to war

When the courts in a jurisdiction or jurisdictions have ceased to function.

And martial law applies only to jurisdictions so effected, not the country as a whole (see, Ex Parte Milligan (1866))

‘Martial law’ imposed absent the above conditions as stated in the OP would be unlawful, un-Constitutional, and an act of treason.

I don’t think they are giving up a country, so much as an idea of what they thought the country was. And believe me, I do get it. There are changes occurring that leave me behind, and I think that is the underlying fear of a lot of people. Our jobs are disappearing, becoming obsolete or turning into something new. Recovery from the recession was very uneven. In fact, it is this left behind/left out aspect that helped fuel Trump’s rise. So....if you can’t just expect people to accept it (and I agree, you can’t) what can you do? Help them get through it to the other side with respect and compassion? Hold our political leaders accountable at every level? Shoot. I don’t know.

Agree, but seems like a term people like to throw into the political arena, like socialist, commie, etc. What exactly IS it?

Seems to be what we are all really arguing about. I have no idea what it means overall. Why did, Brittain stop it? 5hat was just Europe only and didn't work.

I think it would mean global agreements where we give tons of money away for global things.

Wealth redistribution.

Wow..I could sworn they did a recount or two in Georgia and one Wisconsin, for a start. Must have been fake news.
The only thing that disprove fraud in the mail-in ballots once they are separated from their envelopes is to do a forensic inspection and see if these are valid ballots or not.

Democrats and corrupt Crony RINOs refuse.

Globalism is, IMO, :
Globalism refers to various systems with scope beyond the merely international. It is used by political scientists, such as Joseph Nye, to describe "attempts to understand all the interconnections of the modern world—and to highlight patterns that underlie (and explain) them."[1] While primarily associated with world-systems, it can be used to describe other global trends. The term is also frequently used in a pejorative way by far-right movements and conspiracy theorists. [
Paul James defines globalism "at least in its more specific use [...] as the dominant ideology and subjectivity associated with different historically-dominant formations of global extension. The definition thus implies that there were pre-modern or traditional forms of globalism and globalization long before the driving force of capitalism sought to colonize every corner of the globe, for example, going back to the Roman Empire in the second century AD, and perhaps to the Greeks of the fifth-century BC."[5]
Manfred Steger distinguishes among different globalisms such as justice globalism, jihad globalism, and market globalism.[6] Market globalism includes the ideology of neoliberalism. In some hands, the reduction of globalism to the single ideology of market globalism and neoliberalism has led to confusion. For example, in his 2005 book The Collapse of Globalism and the Reinvention of the World, Canadian philosopher John Ralston Saul treated globalism as coterminous with neoliberalism and neoliberal globalization. He argued that, far from being an inevitable force, globalization is already breaking up into contradictory pieces and that citizens are reasserting their national interests in both positive and destructive ways.
Alternatively, American political scientist Joseph Nye, co-founder of the international relations theory of neoliberalism, generalized the term to argue that globalism refers to any description and explanation of a world which is characterized by networks of connections that span multi-continental distances; while globalization refers to the increase or decline in the degree of globalism.[1] This use of the term originated in, and continues to be used, in academic debates about the economic, social, and cultural developments that is described as globalization.[7] The term is used in a specific and narrow way to describe a position in the debate about the historical character of globalization (i.e., whether globalization is unprecedented or not).
It has been used to describe international endeavours begun after World War II, such as the United Nations, the Warsaw Pact, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the European Union, and sometimes the later neoliberal and neoconservative policies of "nation building" and military interventionism between the end of the Cold War in 1991 and the beginning of the War on Terror in 2001.

To my mind, Globalism is a set of ideas that prioritize Global interests of trade, political entanglements, defense of international regions against a common enemy, and subjugates national interests in order to pursue the Global insterests, even at the expense of the people of their own nations.

I think we have been heading towards some form of globalization for decades now and you can’t unscramble that egg imo.
It is unscrambling as we speak, and many new national leaders across the Globe are evidence of that.

Or you just dont like the answer?

Agreed on bold, but if truly global, who is the enemy?

Seems, more like a new, name for old alliances.
