Oh boy, here we go again, will there be rioting tonight in Chicago?

wow...another liberal run city and another african american killed by one of their agents

if you are black, you aren’t safe in a liberal city

You might want to watch the video before you make an ass of yourself.
I didn't see the kid with the gun in his hands.

There it is.

In which case I would have no business being a police officer.

Anybody can sign up for the police academy. My friends son did that to try to get a step ahead of the other applicants where he was trying to get a job. It worked too, he got a job as a police officer.

Much of the problem is people are ignorant of police work. Most of us never confronted a situation where living or dying counted on our split second decision. This is why police departments often give special considerations to war vets. It's easy to sit back and watch a video and say "Oh, I would have done it differently!" HTF would you know what you would have done? You were never in that position before.

How long, before he was shot, were his hands empty?

Doesn't matter. His hands were empty and he had his hands up.

That is an EXTREMELY edited video that shows nothing. Nothing. It shows he put his hands up at some point. The video doesn't even show the shooting.

he put his hands up before he was shot.

Dude it was a dark alley, kid had a gun, he was running....give it up. Do you really think the cops intentionally murdered a 13 boy? What’s the motive? I mean get real. Stop with the lying.

The Chicago police have a long history of abusing the rights of minorities... except now we have body-cams on them that catch them in the act of doing it.

What's wrong with you? Do you think he knew he was 13? Not that it mattered. When he turned towards the officer, the gun was still in his hand, he tossed it as he was raising his hands. What did you want the cop to do?

Oh, I don't know, not shoot a kid after he puts his hands up.

Thug life ain't easy.

In the cities Prog Socialists want anarchy.. In D.C. Prog Socialists want autocrat control over the general population. Remove infractions from the criminal code if things are not right. But they won't. To much money is gotten from resources the criminal code provides. So the suckers pay for it.

In the 1960s, there were riots every summer in the inner city like clockwork.

Most Americans got so sick and tired of them that those Americans just tuned out those riots.

Maybe that is what Americans should now do: Don't pay attention to them. For example, some (many? most?) people are NOT watching the trial in Minneapolis.

Just let certain folks do their thing.

Concentrate on your own job, family, & hobbies.

Maybe even turn OFF the TV news in favor of music or comedies.

Better still: Take a walk (if you live in one of the few safe neighborhoods remaining in this nation).

What does the video show? It shows that once again the police lied.

An officer shot Adam once in the chest after an "armed confrontation" in an alley, police said. Prosecutors say the boy was holding a gun when the officer shot him. Adam died at the scene.

There was no armed confrontation nor was he holding a gun when he was shot.

He was doing as instructed. The police simply can not refrain from lying.
They believed he had the gun, as they saw it in his hand and did not see him drop it (as he clearly did so in a manner to conceal it from the officer). So no, they weren't lying. They made an error, which is understandable given the speed at which he turned and raised his arm. So saying they lied is the lie, and you just told it.
Who are you and what have you done with Fort Fun Indiana?

Doesn't matter.

Why doesn't it matter?

During the entire chase, he had the gun visible in his right hand.
He tossed it behind the fence and a second later, spun around with his hands up.
He should have dropped it before his stopped running.
Or dropped it so the cop saw it on the ground.
He should have been home in bed not hanging out with a gun and a 21 yo thug. Parents???

Sorry armchair leftists.

This is all about reaction time.

Can't give you the reaction time for trigger pulls...too low a sample...but we can use traffic lights as an analog.

The impulse from the brain to the finger was in motion before the criminal threw the gun.

Cop saw gun in hand and made the decision to fire. Everything that happened in the second after that it's moot. The bullet was already on the way.

The point is WHEN he was shot, he had his hands up and he was COMPLYING with police commands to show his hands... and got shot anyway.

Yes, after an exhausting chase, the officer was going to take note he got rid of the gun in less than a half-second. I'd love to see how good you would do when it's your life on the line.

Oh, if I were a cop, I'd probably put a beat down on the first fool who mouthed off to me. It's a good thing I decided to do something else for a living.

The point was, this cop should have made sure this CHILD had a gun in his hand before he shot him.

HANDS UP. DON'T SHOOT.

This ain't complicated, buddy.

So his hands were empty for an entire second.
