Fifteen years ago I joined this site to find out why Americans believed a single word Dubya said about the Irak invasion. I watched y'all love him then loathe him. Let's just recognize what that means.
Republicans in the House have no objection to the President refusing to spend duly appropriated funds in order to further his personal agenda.
Republicans in the House have no objection to the President violating the Impoundment Control Act in order to further his personal agenda.
Republicans in the House have no objection to the President categorically refusing to cooperate with Congress in order to hide from Congress and the people his corruption while furthering his personal agenda.
None. Not a single one.
This, taken together with a predictably very similar vote in the Senate, is the gleeful self-emasculation of one supposedly co-equal branch government, and clear evidence for their total subservience to the Dear Leader.
And then, they turn around and try to use their collective corruption and unanimous support for it as an argument against impeachment. Because, if crooks just stick together, the prosecution is at fault, and the charges are invalid.
Amazing. Not one of the goofs was able and willing to mount a valid defense of Trump's behavior, but they were willing to lie about every aspect of that whole sordid affair to pretend doing so. The shriller, the better.
The Party of Law and Order is dead, reduced to an empty shell, with nothing left in it other than the sorry tribute vice pays to virtue. That's the real crime, and a dire threat to the Republic all the same.

She is waiting until she gets some feedback from the Senate impeachment trial procedures/rules. It's up to her when/if she sends the articles of impeachment to the Senate.

Which is the republicans saying that it's ok to violate the constitution, violate the law, violate the people's trust and violate everything the founders of our nation fought hard to establish and all of those of us who fought to preserve our nation.
If a democratic president had done what trump has done that democratic politician would have been impeached, convicted, put on trial and then in prison for the crimes.

Is there some rule stating the Senate has to set up rules and procedures before they receive the articles of impeachment from the house? If not McConnell can just blow the whole thing off and keep on moving judges...I think 11 more just today.
