This administration and the direction they're sending the EPA in is obsurd. Next thing you know they will try to regulate mother nature. Oh, wait..... That's what this is.

No rain = dust = fines for farmers.

EPA to Crack Down on Farm Dust - News9.com - Oklahoma City, OK - News, Weather, Video and Sports |

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is considering a crackdown on farm dust, so senators have signed a letter addressing their concerns on the possible regulations.

The letter dated July 23 to the EPA states, "If approved, would establish the most stringent and unparalleled regulation of dust in our nation's history." It further states, "We respect efforts for a clean and healthy environment, but not at the expense of common sense. These identified levels will be extremely burdensome for farmers and livestock producers to attain. Whether its livestock kicking up dust, soybeans being combined on a dry day in the fall, or driving a car down the gravel road, dust is a naturally occurring event."

Think about the domino effect something as stupid as this could have. Some crops have a small harvest window. So if the ground is too dry to fit within govt guidelines half the crop could be lost by waiting too long to harvest it. Essentially driving up food prices or causing regional shortages.

On a funny note can you just see a dust cop chasing a farmer down a dirt road? After the Chase he would have to ticket himself.

Federal regulatory jobs have grown at almost triple the pace of private sector jobs under Barack Obama

Investors Business Daily reports:

Under President Obama, while the economy is struggling to grow and create jobs, the federal regulatory business is booming.

Regulatory agencies have seen their combined budgets grow a healthy 16% since 2008, topping $54 billion, according to the annual “Regulator’s Budget,” compiled by George Washington University and Washington University in St. Louis.

That’s at a time when the overall economy grew a paltry 5%.

Meanwhile, employment at these agencies has climbed 13% since Obama took office to more than 281,000, while private-sector jobs shrank by 5.6%.

They are going after our food now folks. first our energy, our money and now OUR FOOD.

Think about it? HOW MUCH IS IT NOW COSTING you to buy FOOD today.?

2012 can't come soon enough to get rid of this dangerous and destructive administration.

Awesome - Us farmers get to raise food prices again!!! Don't go investing in any diet / weight loss companies because US citizens will look like Ethiopians soon.

If Obama wants to be my butler and start dusting he may. He can start with the ceiling fans.

I have a strange feeling that everyone is mad because of the word "dust" but have no idea what the reason for the regulation is. They just say "REGULATE DUST WTF?!?!?!"
