Just as predicted, Obamacare's mandates have already yielded significant savings in health insurance. Well, OK maybe that's a total lie.
New coverage for young adults will raise premiums - Yahoo! News
WASHINGTON – Letting young adults stay on their parents' health insurance until they turn 26 will nudge premiums nearly 1 percent higher for employer plans, the government said in an estimate released Monday.

The coverage requirement, effective starting later this year, is one of the most anticipated early benefits of President Barack Obama's new health care law. Many insurers have already started offering extended coverage to families who purchase their coverage directly. And employers say parents have flooded their benefits departments with questions.

Why did anyone think that allowing adults to stay on their parents' policy, outlawing pre-existing conditions, and other mandates was going to be free??

Because 0bama, the perveyor of true and correct information said so. Heck, some even thought the coverage itself was going to be free.

Why would they think it would save any money at all? How did they believe premiums weren't going to go up?

They did. But they weren't going to tell anyone that part of it. HCR would have been REALLY REALLY unpopular then. Instead it was merely unpopular.
So when this hits the country before November the Dems can expect to see their poll numbers go even further down.

Of course obama wants to keep adult children on heath plans. Why would he want his girls on his presidential heath plan longer then he will be president himself? And since we the people will be footing his insurance bill as a retired president, all the better!
