but a little known fact is 54% of the US Congress just happen to be millionaires! 164 Republicans and 101 Democrats. I heard these numbers on AFN radio so they could be + or - 5-6 off.

Anyhow, tax these low life no good for nothing scrubs right now! sort of eye opening when you look at the facts of normal citizen millionaires vs. elected official millionaires. no wonder they want to call this class warfare!

A little known fact that members of Congress are mostly extremely well off?

Nonsense.

One would have to have been living in a cave for the last couple decades not to know that.

just compiling the data provided above, why not tax the dog snot out of these pukes, Dem and Pub alike. they cant govern and do good by the people, lets just take it our of their pocket book. im sure the 1%ers wont like paying up more but maybe we should have thought twice about lowering revenue nd starting two wars while eyeballing a 2nd great depression.

NPR did a great piece on this subject last night, luckily AFN has recently been carrying NPR out here.

Sort of wicked that not only are they lining their pockets and the uber rich, its the fact that no hard work is producing this profit. Its a scam.

Well it's very well known that members of Congress have a way to cozy relationship with the corporate block in this country. McCain Feingold was a way to address that.

That's why "Citizen's United" was such an Abomination. It rolled back nearly a century of effort to curtail the influence of money in politics.

And you find conservatives braying about how corrupt government is on one hand while effectively stopping any effort to remove the corrupting influences on the other.

It's simply astonishing that a person like Bachmann can advocate for government funding of her own family's businesses while deriding government "pork" and a person like Boehner can hand out tobacco lobby money on the floor of congress...and NOT suffer any backlash for this..at all.
