I feel no pity for these people, I relish in their suffering. The one upside of the destruction of America is the destroyers will be vanquished as well.

With Affordable Care Act, Canceled Policies for New York Professionals

Many in New York’s professional and cultural elite have long supported President Obama’s health care plan. But now, to their surprise, thousands of writers, opera singers, music teachers, photographers, doctors, lawyers and others are learning that their health insurance plans are being canceled and they may have to pay more to get comparable coverage, if they can find it.

They are part of an unusual, informal health insurance system that has developed in New York, in which independent practitioners were able to get lower insurance rates through group plans, typically set up by their professional associations or chambers of commerce. That allowed them to avoid the sky-high rates in New York’s individual insurance market, historically among the most expensive in the country.

But under the Affordable Care Act, they will be treated as individuals, responsible for their own insurance policies. For many of them, that is likely to mean they will no longer have access to a wide network of doctors and a range of plans tailored to their needs. And many of them are finding that if they want to keep their premiums from rising, they will have to accept higher deductible and co-pay costs or inferior coverage.

Are you really REALLY worried about a bunch of New York liberals? How special. You know they support gun control?

Well, it's probably not nice to tease them. It's not as if they knew shit about how the plan works or its ramifications.

A lot of the apologists here are another example of that.

No, they don't care, why should I? Give the fools the punishment they want I suppose. I feel bad for the people who didn't ask for it.

I am very pleased to see these liberal assholes get what they deserve.

Tell that to the people in the article. They don't seem to be finding this "better insurance". Unless paying more for lower quality insurance is "better" now.

Like I said, I hope they don't find better insurance, let them go into the Obamacare network and get shafted. I on the other hand will stay on my parents' insurance until I am 26 and either get the cheapest insurance possible or none at all(depending on if fines are more expensive than the cheapest care by then). Let the system collapse.

They had great insurance. It met or exceeded ACA standards.

They're being forced off of it purely to help buoy up the exchange.

Some will qualify for subsidies. Many will not and what they'll find at comparable price won't be as good as the coverage they had before.

So tough shit if they have to pay rates they can't afford?

There's that liberal compassion we've all come to know and love.

For the record, he said he relishes the thought of these Obama fluffers getting what they deserve.

Lot of forced assertions, Amelia.

That's just what I read in the Times article.

This is the very attitude that every young person ought to have.

Eventually somebody has to pay for Socialist policies, and it is the folks who are just starting their lives who are getting the real shaft. They are already going to have to deal with the massive debt run up by the whores in Washington trying to buy their way into re-election.

And now, the Liar President expects his Great Medical Fraud to be funded on the backs of the young...nothing but a transfer of wealth from the young to the old.

I often wondered why some people laughed at the pain of others.

Three Stooges fans one example.

But I must admit watching the pain of Obamabots upon confronting their new healthcare reality is downright slapstick.

A forced assertion is what you find in that infamous rightwing rag known as the New York Times. ;)

For the record you stupid fuk. They will pull themselves up by their boot straps and go on about their lives. Cause the people in this article are not the whiny ass cry babies that you are. They were also lawyers, actors and some other professions. If they are professionals and live in NYC, they can "afford" whatever they need.

You really are stupid. Ever been to NYC? Can you find it on a map?

But to think that an asshole like you gives a fuk about them is laughable.

btw, it was some other dude with the "I don't care" comment. Stupid.

Not if they're Democrats they won't. More than likely they'll go out picketing, demanding other people's money.
