According to AAA, the average cost of gas has been more than $3 per gallon for 1,000 days straight.

It’s the longest streak ever for gas prices at this level. Right now, the average in Minnesota is $3.50 per gallon, slightly lower than the national average of $3.54 per gallon.
Good Question: Will We Ever Play Less Than $3 Per Gallon Again? « CBS Minnesota

And this idiot TAKES credit for the INCREASED Production on NON-Fed leased lines
WHILE approving 61% less leases on Government land then Bush!

Oil and Gas Statistics

From 2001 to 2008 Bush approved 23,569 leases or an average of 2,946 leases per year
From 2009 to 2012 Obama approved 7,297 leases or an average of 1,824 leases per year!

SO YOU see Obama is getting HIS WISH!!!!

the very reason leftards want higher gas prices is their premise that if fossil fuels reach certain price they would be able to impose so-called "green energy technologies" on us - not so green, BTW, but leftard do not care if their own can make money on a taxpayer.

It is solyndrization of the country which is the ultimate goal, not the price itself.

That's what Marxism is - driving out the practical and the affordable in favor of the unobtainable "utopia".

You are absolutely right!
These same idiots don't seem to comprehend a simple concept known as:
"The U.S. landscape acts as a net carbon sink—it sequesters more carbon than it emits.
Two types of analyses confirm this:
1) atmospheric, or top-down, methods that look at changes in CO2 concentrations; and
2) land-based, or bottom-up, methods that incorporate on-the-ground inventories or plot measurements.
Net sequestration (i.e., the difference between carbon gains and losses) in U.S. forests, urban trees and agricultural soils totaled almost 840 teragrams (Tg) of CO2 equivalent (or about 230 Tg or million metric tons of carbon equivalent) in 2001 (Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks).
This offsets approximately 15% of total U.S. CO2 emissions from the energy, transportation and other sectors. Net carbon sequestration in the forest sector in 2005 offset 10% of U.S. CO2 emissions. In the near future, we project that U.S. forests will continue to sequester carbon at a rate similar to that in recent years. Based on a comparison of our estimates to a compilation of land-based estimates of non-forest carbon
sinks from the literature, we estimate that the conterminous U.S. annually sequesters 149–330 Tg C year1. Forests, urban trees, and wood
products are responsible for 65–91% of this sink.

Simply put the USA absorbs ALL the CO2 emitted and the landscape can absorb another 15% more!

It has been his plan all along. His Energy secretary Chu , said in 2008 he wanted gasoline prices to get to the European level, which is $9 or $10 a gallon. Chu showed his hand in September 2008 when he talked to The Wall Street Journal about the benefits of having gasoline prices rise over 15 years to encourage energy efficiency. Looks like his plan is working

We need to use less gas. We need to NEED less gas.

Its stupid that we cannot move into the 21st century.

Surely rw's are not so dumb as to believe that he has any control over gas prices.

Nope. Looks like you do believe that the president of the US can control gas prices.

Jeeeez.

The saber rattling done by Obama single handily sent gas up 20 cents a gal just like that.

Funny how the left blubbered about the oil man,but now well gas is even higher and some costs directly connected to the boy blunder, yet still with the fluffing?!!!

The far right reactionaries can stop their fibbing.

How much is the average today? How much was the average one year ago today?

Gas Too High?

Gas prices averaged $1.15 under Bill Clinton -prices have more than doubled under Bush-Cheney - to $2.65 and climbing.
Bush's energy plan will raise gas prices more!
Bush lied about cheap oil from Iraq - and now he's planning Oil War 2 against Iran!
Bush-Cheney love high gas prices because they and their friends are oil millionaires!
High gas prices are crushing America's families - and America's economy.
George Bush could reduce gas prices immediately if he wanted:
* Draw down oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to reduce oil prices
* Cut gas taxes and restore estate taxes on the wealthy
* Demand more production by his former business partners in Saudi Arabia and OPEC
* End price rigging by gas refineries
* Pull out of Iraq to end anti-U.S. sabotage of Iraqi oil supplies
* End tax giveaways for gas guzzlers
* Give drivers large rebates to trade in gas guzzlers for hybrids
* Demand significantly more fuel-efficient cars from manufacturers
Bush refuses to do any of these things. Instead he forced Congress to pass an Energy Bill that will increase gas prices by 3-8 cents!
Why won't Bush help American consumers? Because Bush is loyal to Big Oil and Saudi Arabia - not the American people.
America cannot afford four more years of skyrocketing gas prices.
America cannot afford four more years of George Bush.
It's time for a change.

YIKES!

Yes, and that's what will happen with the "Climate change" brigade...the People pay more!
...and not just a little more either.

biancoland electricity prices skyrocketed when Obama's buddy former Left/Far Left Prime Minister Julia Gllard and her cohorts introduced a carbon tax and embraced the "Climate change/Global warming" fraud.

They were recently booted out of office!

Gas per gallon went higher under Bush, and he and his party got hammered over it. They deserved it too. It was their fault.

The price now is really just the free market, although some seriously onerous regulation on the futures market would do a lot of good for drivers. But the GOP wouldn't go for that.

what a far left progressive liberal reactionary comment you just made jake!

You're so fun to own the shit outta, lol.

So far we have liberals claiming Obama can't control the costs of gas, I wonder if these were the same liberals of whom there were vast majorities of on the Democrat side that believed Bush was in bed with big oil. Remember the whole congress interviewing big oil to find out if there was price gouging? maybe we should do that under Obama, or let me guess, it's different somehow.

Do you guys ever get tired of defending why Obama has no choice but to be just like Bush?

LOLOLOLOLz~

And there it is folks. Under Bush prices "reached" higher because of Bush and Republicans, but under Obama despite at points getting VERY close to the levels of costs that of Bush, but overall holding an average higher cost than Bush it's "free markets" that suddenly became free out of nowhere....

So who made the markets free? Was it Bush? Or was it Obama? What happened to make these markets "free?" What happens if we find out there are more regulations????

Already a butthurt thread on their earlier today from the right wingers. Is fox dumping this crap into your feeble minds once again for the sudden parroting? I'm sure they are,...

What? Are prices not up for gas? Is Obama not President? Did Obama not say many times he wanted fuel costs to go up?

Wtf is wrong with "you people?" No matter what party is in power there is a group of mindless haters that defend their own no matter how bad things get and attack "the other side" out of what seems more like habit than because they have an actual reason.

Consumer Reports News: September 17, 2012 05:08 PM Average gas prices--September 17, 2012

Gas prices are up across the country compared to the week before. The national gasoline average is 28 cents above the price this time last year and about 3 cents above last week's price. Premium gasoline is now averaging $4.15. Diesel fuel is about 30 cents above this time last year.

And it is about $3.57 a gallon last week. And that is less than it was two years ago.[
