Umemployment has dropped from 10.2% to 7.8%
The stock market has doubled since the stimulus.
5 million private sector jobs have been created since 2009.
GDP has been growing since 2009.
Americans net worth is up $10 trillion dollars since 2009.
Auto sales are up. Retail sales are up. Home sales are up.
Bin Laden is dead, and GM is alive.
Obama has done a very good job.

---No one president can single handidly change the economy. Americans have to do that on their own. It's fear that helps cause the economy to slow down. I mean seriously people, how much change did you really expect to happen with that state the economy was in 4 years ago. You honestly expected it to be MUCH better than this in just a mere 4 years?

OF course we do! After all the MSM called Obama a God!
And please tell me were you around when the dot.com bust happened that cost $5 trillion in losses that allowed $166 billion a year tax writesoffs (by the way Obama writes off $100k this way a year!)?
Also were you around when 9/11 occurred also costing $2 trillion in losses another $66 billion a year in tax writeoffs..
Were you around when the WORST HURRICANE SEASONS (plural!!) costing $1 trillion in write offs?
And all of those events cost:

AND JOBS LOST???
  • 400,000 jobs due to Hurricanes Katrina/Rita again NOTHING Bush could do to prevent! After all he is definitely not the Messiah as Obama is considered!
  • 145,000 jobs in NYC alone due to 9/11.... so of course because of the Gorelick Memo the CIA was not allowed to share with the FBI the 9/11 terrorists in country!
  • 300,000 jobs lost due to dot.com busts....
===========================
845,000 jobs LOST

YET in spite of that THE FACTS are:
PolitiFact | Romney says Obama promised to cut deficit in half

NOW for the REALITY!!!
Year Tax Revenue Expenditures Surplus or Deficit
=== ======== =========== ===========
  • 2000 $2.026 Trillion $1.789 Trillion $236.2 billion
  • 2001 1.991 1.862 126.6
  • 2002 1.853 2.010 (157.8 billion deficit)
  • 2003 1.782 2.159 (377.6 billion deficit)
  • 2004 1.880 2.252 (412.7 billion deficit)
  • 2005 2.153 2.472 (318.3 billion deficit)
  • 2006 2.406 2.655 (248.2 billion deficit)
  • 2007 2.568 2.728 (160.7 billion deficit)
  • 2008 2.524 2.982 (458.6 billion deficit)

IN spite of those monumental events Bush had at the end of 2008 136 million working versus at beginning 131 million a gain of 5 million more working IN SPITE of
845,000 jobs lost due to dot.com/9/11/hurricanes!!!

  • 2001...... 131,826 41 0.03% Dot.com bust, 9/11 occurred $5 trillion in real losses, 18,000 businesses
  • 2002...... 130,341 -1,485 -1.13% 9/11 residual losses
  • 2003...... 129,999 -342 -0.26% tax cuts began
  • 2004...... 131,435 1,436 1.10%
  • 2005...... 133,703 2,268 1.73%
  • 2006...... 136,086 2,383 1.78%
  • 2007...... 137,598 1,512 1.11%
  • 2008...... 136,790 -808 -0.59%

And IN spite of dot.com/9/11/hurricanes...
GDP when Bush took office 2001 $12.355,271,000,000
GDP when Bush left office 2008 $14,359,490,000,000

A 16% increase in GDP or $2,004.22 billion!

Obama!!!
2009 2.105 3.517 (1.412 TRILLION deficit)
2010 2.162 3.456 (1.293 Trillion deficit)
2011 2.173 3.818 (1.645 Trillion Deficit

AND OBAMA????
And dot.com bust to deal with, or 9/11 or severe weather events??? NADA//
YET OBAMA puts in rules and regulations, has over $5 trillion added due to deficits to national debt!

Fail thread. Granted, it is hard to come up with a good thread for obama.. That is positive anyways..

Bin Laden is dead, so is our Libyan Ambassador and GM is alive but owes more to their UAW pension fund than they've made in profit in their entire history.

Well if creating more debt and the unemployment not budging under what it was when he took office is a good job, then you are right, well done Obama. <<insert sarcasm >>

No matter how good things get, Obama's still a commie, marxist or take your pick. Thanks for stirring up the loonies.

Did you see the numbers for today?

U.S. Jobless Claims Rise 46,000

Jobless claims increased by 46,000 to 388,000 in the week ended Oct. 13 from a revised 342,000 the prior period that was the lowest since February 2008, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington. The median forecast of 49 economists surveyed by Bloomberg called for a rise in claims to 365,000.

Food Stamp recipients are at a record high. Unemployment is still well over 10% in certain areas. Acts of terrorism were absurdly blamed on a video. Brian Terry got murdered by firearms he allowed to be walked into Mexico. We still aren't drilling on Federal lands like we should be. We didn't build a pipeline to Canada. Gas prices are ridiculous. Food prices are ridiculous. People on Welfare don't have to try to get jobs. GM has been a windfall for China. The Janesville WI plant is still closed. Guantanamo is still open. Our Tax dollars were wasted on Solyndra, and companies like it. Obamacare is the largest Tax in U.S. history (The Supreme Court ruled it a Tax). We have more casualties in Afghanistan under Obama than we had before he took office. Illegals are still pouring across our borders. No American built a thing on their own. The deficit is out of control. Spending is out of control... I honestly expected it to be a little better in four years, rather than what it is... Worse.

Keep drinking the kool aid

America is a free country, so we like to say, if a religious draft dodger who now wears Neocon clothing, invests in the Caymans, has a Swiss bank account, off shores jobs to China, thinks of women as binders, switches positions dependent on the moment, and pays less in taxes than the average worker appeals to you, go for it. America survived W we can survive Mitty. Well some of us can - does anyone notice how the working poor rarely enter the conversation? America has lost lots of its soul in spite of its material progress.

"Rector and Sheffield are right that we shouldn't take our society's material progress for granted. But the trouble with this line of reasoning is that Americans today don't live in the 1890s or another bygone era. And they generally don't reside in the bush of Botswana or some other impoverished land, either.

As is customary for humans, Americans inhabit a particular space and time. They live in communities and need access to the resources that will help them participate fully in those communities. This means they need basics, such as a decent-paying job, health insurance and retirement security. At present it also often means needing cell phones, computers and reliable cars.

The biblical social ethic reflects this sense of particularity. The Jewish prophets and Jesus were not bowled over by the fact that the poor of their times lived large compared to the cavemen. They spoke precisely against the marginalization of economically disadvantaged people within their social contexts." Relative poverty: Where Adam Smith and the Bible agree | The Christian Century

Would you care to refute all the facts presented in your own thread. Or, are you just going to pretend they weren't posted? :eusa_whistle:
