Back it up? We have the strongest military in the world. So what? You can't solve the world's problems militarily. We can barely occupy two small countries. Why do we need to solve the worlds problems? They arent children incapable of taking care of themselves. Why dont we focus on solving our own problems. Like the fact that our gas prices are increasing and our dollar is decreasing.

Ideals are nice, but if they arent based in truth ideals will never translate into reality.
