"New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday slammed New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's handling of riots in his city, calling it a "disgrace" and saying he has the power to "displace" the mayor -- although doesn't want to at this point.
"The NYPD and the mayor did not do their job last night, I believe that," Cuomo said of the mayor.
Cuomo spoke after another night of devastation in the Big Apple, after protests in response to the death of George Floyd again devolved into riots and looting. The New York City Police Department tells Fox News that 700 arrests were made overnight. A half dozen police officers were injured, while at least six police vehicles were vandalized."
Cuomo's threatening to fire / replace De Blasio is a threat to o late when the action should have already been taken. De Blasio has been kissing rioters / criminals' asses and facilitating the wide-scale break down of the Rule of Law while his daughter has been joining them.
The NYPD are at least out on the streets putting their lives on the line trying to do their job. The trouble is, though, that the ghost-town-like streets of NY, deserted a week or more ago from COVID-19 mandated shut/lock-down, is now packed with looters, thieves, arsonists, murderers, and domestic terrorists.
I don't see Cuomo doing HIS job to protect the citizens and businesses of NY. The douche bag should put his own EGO on the counter, pick up the phone, and call in the Natl Guard.
