Well heck. Yesterday, we're racists for drinking coffee. And today we're racists for keeping our pantry organized.

It's a heck of a thing, ain't it?

Anyway....

'A Loyola University professor is claiming that organized pantries are rooted in “racist and sexist social structures,” and that the new so-called “pantry porn” trend, in which people show off their “neatly aligned glass spice jars tagged with printed white labels” and “wicker baskets filled with packages of pasta, crackers and snacks,” has become a status symbol for white women.'

'Associate professor Jenna Drenten wrote an op-ed for the website, the Conversation, in which she reacted to what she calls “pantry porn,” a phenomenon where “obsessively organized kitchens” have become “a new status symbol” on social media.'

“What lies beneath the surface of this anti-messiness, pro-niceness stance is a history of classist, racist and sexist social structures,” the professor added.

Somebody cancel this racist bitch!

Take this as a tip for "How to live a Racist life." It made me run to the pantry and alphabetize the whole thing.

The Feminist harpies are just pissed that they learned too late, that they bought a false bill of goods; and become bitter, and hateful when they see a happy prosperous traditional woman. Especially knowing that there is no turning back the clock for them. 40- 80 is a long time to spend bitter, angry, unfulfilled, and alone…

I got you beat. Mine are sorted by “best by” date!
Ooooohh. Good point. For the refrigerator too.

There used to be a social news paper writer that gave house hold hacks. It was called "Hints from Heloise." That can be resurrected with the title "Living the Racist Life. " It can have cleaning tips. exercise routines, more uses for WD40, coffee reviews. Since everything is racist there's no end to content.

Such bullshit.
If you don't organize stuff it gets lost. Even when organized spices often go unused and lose their zing.

My dad built a large pantry in our basement (no room upstairs) that we filled with canned and dry foods once or twice a year to cut down on the frequent trips to the grocery store. Foods were stacked neatly and in order, so we always knew what we had. I still do this today.

There is a double benefit in doing things in an organized manner. You enjoy the benefits of organization, and, an organized environment reinforces mental organization as it is reflected back to you. And of course you are somewhat protected against supply chain shortages such as was experienced at the beginning of Covid.

Gee go figure that when I was single and my apartment was always clean and orderly that I was guilty of sexism and racism against myself. That's really something since mother was Black

Awesome .. so I'm a racist with all the other white people and it can't be mitigated. Okay .. so now what?
Now? A trip to Racist Trader Joe's to buy stuff for your racist pantry.

Will do .. I'll get racist items for my racist pantry while I drink my racist coffee and bathe in my white priviledge.

Crazy people like that "professor" are debasing that word "racist."

Before long, when someone says, "racist," people will just laugh -- or yawn.
