You know, each candidate is promising that they can reunite the country and lead all of us, as well as are promising to go to Washington and get things done.

Well, if Hillary is elected, the GOP is going to waste even more time on investigating her emails than what they did trying to get rid of the ACA. Not only that, but because the GOP has solidly been against first her husband Bill, and now her, the chances of anything getting done are zilch. If Hillary says the sky is blue, the GOP will scream up and down that it's red. Anything she wants to accomplish is going to be solidly blocked by the GOP.

If Trump is elected, it's not going to be better either. Why? He's managed to piss off almost the entire Republican leadership, and many of them say they don't like or support him, but they will vote Trump anyway because he's not Hillary. Not only that, but Trump doesn't seem to have much of a grip on either foreign OR domestic policy, so if Trump is elected, he's gonna end up being a puppet, just like Jr. was for Cheney, because Pence is going to have to tell him what to say and how to act. Not only that, but there are a lot of things that Trump stands for that the GOP leadership disagrees strongly with.

Either way, Congress is going to do their level best to block either candidate from getting things done.

Does anyone else think that either candidate has the power to change DC, or are you like me and feel like it's just gonna be more of the same gridlock?

Doubt that...

Yeah.............I DO think that Trump would end up being a puppet. Why? He currently knows nothing about how to run a government, knows nothing about foreign policy, has a slight understanding (but not good) about domestic policy.

He's going to have to depend on others to guide him through the bureaucracy, and when they see how little he knows, they will feed him the information that they think will guide him to the policies that they want to have. Kinda like what they did to Jr.

I am not so sure of that, at least he knows people who know their shit.

Also, he has a very strong bullshit detector.

I see now! So the reason Bush lied about WMD's, faked proof of them, brought you to war, raped, tortured and murdered one million innocent men, women, and children .... is all because "toilet paper treated all of Bush like shit" .... not only the hole in his ass?

Had it been up to the GOP party "leadership" Trump would never have been the candidate. Would never even have gotten to the primaries. The reason he is the candidate (soon be President) is that the rank and file members simply refused to be led where the "leaders" wanted them to go. This is exactly the way things should be. The leadership should serve the membership; not the other way round. The membership is the party. They were unwise to forget this. It is not important that Trump pissed the "leadership" off It is important that they pissed Trump off. More importantly they pissed most of the membership off. Because of this it is likely that few will be able to gain their former status.

"Not only that, but Trump doesn't seem to have much of a grip on either foreign OR domestic policy,..."

Bullshit. Events are proving that most American think the exact opposite and are hoping that the current foreign and domestic polices can be reversed while the country can still be saved from total disaster
The feud between Trump and "party leadership" has largely resulted because of his refusal to be their puppet. This speaks well of him.

Then there is no reason to vote for Hillary.
