The vote was a huge F U in the sense that a huge group of people, especially rural Americans, havn't felt represented by either party. In some sense the Trump vote was a brick thrown thru a window, or a vote to drain the swamp, and it didn't matter if Trump didn't fit their mold (being a Manhattan billionaire).
