Global Highlights
•The combined average temperature over global land and ocean surfaces for November 2013 was record highest for the 134-year period of record, at 0.78°C (1.40°F) above the 20th century average of 12.9°C (55.2°F).
•The global land surface temperature was 1.43°C (2.57°F) above the 20th century average of 5.9°C (42.6°F), the second highest for November on record, behind 2010. For the global oceans, the November average sea surface temperature was 0.54°C (0.97°F) above the 20th century average of 15.8°C (60.4°F), tying with 2009 as the third highest for November.
•The combined global land and ocean average surface temperature for the September–November period was 0.68°C (1.22°F) above the 20th century average of 14.0°C (57.1°F), the second warmest such period on record, behind only 2005.
•The September–November worldwide land surface temperature was 1.08°C (1.94°F) above the 20th century average, the third warmest such period on record. The global ocean surface temperature for the same period was 0.52°C (0.94°F) above the 20th century average, tying with 2009 and 2012 as the fourth warmest September–November on record.
•The combined global land and ocean average surface temperature for the year-to-date (January–November) was 0.62°C (1.12°F) above the 20th century average of 14.0°C (57.2°F), tying with 2002 as the fourth warmest such period on record.
Global Analysis - November 2013 | State of the Climate | National Climatic Data Center (NCDC)

We will see how Dec turns out because if it is within the top 2-3 we will likely end up with the 3rd or out right 4th warmest year on record. The start of it was a -enso of course so a good showing none the less.

If as claimed, CO2 produced by man made the miniscule .3 degree raise in temps over 20 years, and the CO2 is still being put into the atmosphere, why has no raise in temperature occurred since 1998?

1. Low solar flux ...Pretty much the lowest since cycle 5 in the 1910's.
2. High level of aerosals from china and India. This was pretty much the reason for the cooling of the 1950s-1970's. Hansen explained this in detail. China and India's growth has done this...So if you want to know why, well here' why.
3. Charge within the pdo. Energy getting absorbed within the oceans.

World experiences hottest November in 134 years

The month of November was the hottest since record-keeping began in 1880, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Tuesday.
The finding was based on globally averaged land and surface temperatures last month, NOAA said in a statement.

"The combined average temperature over global land and ocean surfaces for November 2013 was record highest for the 134-year period of record," NOAA said.

The average temperature was 0.78 Celsius (1.40 Fahrenheit), above the 20th century average of 12.9 Celsius (55.2 Fahrenheit), NOAA said.

It was also the 37th November in a row with worldwide temperatures above the 20th century average.

In fact, the last 28 years have been warmer than normal, NOAA added.

Look I will explain it one more time for you slow types..... It was predicted in 1900 that over the century we would warm 1 degree or there about. AND WE WARMED A LITTLE MORE THEN THAT.

Normal? What is normal? WE HAD a warming of a third of a degree of course temperatures are bit higher then before that. Are you so stupid as to think after the planet warmed over a 3rd of degree and over all more then 1 degree that temperatures after that would be "normal" based on before the warming?

It is normal for NOW.

As for CO2 isn't it amazing that according to you loons it raised our temps a 3rd of dgree and then suddenly nature said wait a sec and created all this excuses you have going for why no more?

It has no raised in temp since 1998 that is 15 years, just as long as the period of time that we saw a 3rd of a degree raise in temp. when is THAT going to be normal and all doom and gloom end of the world prophesying going to stop?

Including 1998, all ten of the warmest years on record have occured since 1998. You call that no raise in temperature? You are either very stupid or a liar.

Look I don't want to call you retarded or anything but if the temperature went up over a 3rd of degree then of course all temperatures after that will be higher then BEFORE the increase. Common fucking sense.

1998 was the was the warmest and none since have been warmer in fact global temperatures have not risen since 1998.

You loons insisted that the 15 year warming trend meant we would see higher and higher temps, Hasn't happened. And lately the only way you keep it from cooling is to keep "adjusting" the temps.

CO2 has not gonna away. Why did it magically cause an increase before but now it isn't?

2010, 2005 and 1998 are the warmest years. Only data sets like the uk one that doesn't include the arctic disagree's.

Secondly sea level has continued to raise and we all know that means thermal expansion = more energy going into the system.

Do I believe it is warming anywhere near what it was 1980-1998...NO. Of course not. Hansen did explain that the period between 1960 to 1980 that the aerosols did cause the stall and so are they causing this one.

This is why we just had the third COLDEST November on record in Wisconsin, and why a new COLDEST temperature on earth was just recently recorded at the south pole, -135.8 degrees F.

No, this is why you can't win an argument on this topic.

Arguing weather against climate is STUPID.

I will fully admit that one month's record for the globe is not tremendously significant in a discussion of climate trends, but it beats the Green Bay weather report for last Thursday all hollow.

Anyone using James Hansen as their source for "science" is definitely an AGW hack!

and snow all over the mideast

Before you guys start the scheduled school yard fight.. I've got an issue..

According the SATELLITE RECORD from UAH -----

The Version 5.6 global average lower tropospheric temperature (LT) anomaly for November, 2013 is +0.19 deg. C, down from +0.29 deg. C in October (click for full size version):

UAH_LT_1979_thru_November_2013_v5.6.png

We really should be figuring out at this point --- who's using statistics as a weapon..
Besides the point that NOAA is using the entire 20th Century average and not just the generally agreed baseline average size..

I don't have time to deal with temps from 1900.. Or how all this DOOMSDAY emphasis got put on the November data..
But if you're gonna risk a broken nose over it --- don't you think YOU SHOULD?
