No Nukes? Ok, but...

No kidding. What'd you think was going to happen?

Where's your avatar photo taken? Cool scene.

Yo dog, there is nuclear waste from the Japs failed crap coming to a coast near you. Net importers of oil. They're screwed. They're used to radiation but this time it's a lot more impacting.

"They're used to radiation"? WTF is that supposed to mean? Have you ever been to Japan? I've been there on a nuclear powered vessel carrying nuclear weapons. I can guaran-goddamn-tee you they aren't "used to radiation".

First of all, the word is "Japanese." Second, FUCK YOU ASSHOLE. :fu:

Why, cause you heard it in the news, bull, undetectable radiation is zero and there will be no radiation emitted nor detected on our beaches.

further, that "failed crap" from japan is Obama's number one favorite corporation, GE, yes the same corporation recieving subsidies from obama built the reactors in japan that got damaged, hell we got the same reactors operating right now in the good ole USA, how is that?

I was speaking about the floating Jap junk pile.

They are very safe from many perspectives. They are inherently and unavoidably dangerous because of the severe and long-lived toxicity of their fuel. This simply means that extraordinary means must always be taken to make them as secure and safe as possible. We should most definitely use them.

Nuclear is as safe as the money spent on the storage of the spent rods. Trying to save money using pools rather than dry cask storage has created a dangeous situation here and in Japan. That is the drawback of nuclear, it is expensive. Far more expensive than wind, geothermal, and the latest generation of PV. But a very dependable baseload source.

There is no danger here, we have much more waste than Japan yet have had zero injuries caused by our spent fuel pools.

Its just mad to speculate on something you seem to have only read about in the newspapers.

People safely walk on the edge of our spent fuel pools every day.

The short sighted people that once protested nuclear power are now advocating for it as a part of their programming.

So I see that there are those that are for using a source that creates a by product with a half life of 5000 years. Yeah! That's smart!
