Who cares? For far too many years I had to get up at 0 dark thirty to watch pro ball in a tent. Didn't take long to realize
how little it mattered.

For me, football is just a few hours of entertainment. A distraction from the tedium of everyday life. Kind of like this board is a distraction. Maybe it's something else for you. Why bother responding to a thread where the subject is something you don't care about?

I've got a difference of opinion on two games.

I am picking the Dolphins over the Jets. I have a feeling the Jets are going to come back to Earth pretty hard, although it still should be a close game.

I'm taking the Pats over the Jags. The Jaguars are a team I somehow want to do well, but that offense just can't seem to get out of its own way, and against a team like the Patriots, that isn't a good thing.

I considered taking the Cowboys over the Giants, and I still think the game could go either way, but I think the Giants were a bit more impressive in week 1 than the Boys, so I'll agree with your pick.

I also thought about going with the Chiefs, but the Steelers always seem to play down to bad teams, and they are at home. Even without Bell, I'm going to look for them to bounce back.

I kind of struggled with the Jags over Pats pick. Probably not wise to bet against Tom Brady. OTOH, the Jags have a top tier defense and are playing at home.

Trouble is, you never know what you're going to get with Dalton either. Did you honestly expect 4 TD passes in one half from him?

I'm just glad I've got AJ Green in one of my fantasy leagues.

Of course, I'm playing against him in another.... :(

I'm a Bengals fan and the fact they let up and played like crap in the second half is all about Marvin Lewis. His teams are hardly ever able to keep momentum, and half time adjustments are abysmal.

Ravens at Bengals: Late for this game and I picked Baltimore
Panthers at Falcons: Looks like the winner will have the edge in the division
Colts at Redskins: Alex Smith proves he is a least a decent QB.
Texans at Titans: I so want to pick the Titans, I just don't see it though
Eagles at Tampa Bay : No way does Ryan duplicate his performance last week.
Chiefs at Pittsburgh: I think the Steelers might not have a good year.
Dolphins at Jets: Dolphins with a win
Chargers at Bills: Buffalo is in way over their heads this year.
Vikings at Green Bay: If Aaron plays the pack win.
Browns at Saints: The Browns defense will be tested and if the Saints lose, they are in for a long season.
Lions at the 49ers: 49ers should take this one easily.
Cards at Rams: The Rams are that good!
Patriots at Jaguars: Pats will win another close game.
Raiders at Broncos: Gruden magic maybe over, Broncos win.
Giants at Cowboys: Cowboys win at home, if not Dallas may hit the panic button.
Seahawks at Chicago: Seattle lost the game last week on a sack, they may just sack their whole season, Bears are good.

Fitzmagic only works on occasion. He could well throw 5 picks this game, you just never know!

I don't understand what the Buffalo management was thinking this offseason. It almost seemed as if they intentionally got worse.

Gruden never had that much magic IMO. He took over a strong contender when he got the Bucs job. Yes, they won the SB his first year, and Gruden deserves some credit for getting them over that hump. However, while the Bucs were consistently good under Dungy, they became consistently inconsistent under Gruden. Under Gruden the Bucs won 12, 7, 5, 11, 4, 9, and 9 games in the regular season. The 4 years before that with the Raiders, his teams won 8, 8, 12, and 10 games. Is that a great coach? I think not. Above average perhaps, but no better than that.

The Steelers always seem to me as if they are going to have a bad year, then they have at least a decent year. The Steelers haven't had a losing record since 2003.

That's true... the beard is weird.

I agree about Gruden being nothing special. He did get the Raiders to a SB contender status. But he only won the SB with Dungy's team playing against his old team. Callahan apparently didn't change anything up, so Gruden pretty much knew what was coming. He's already off to a bad start on his second stint with the Raiders, inexplicably trading away one of the leagues best defensive players. He must be about building for future seasons, because he likely isn't going to do much this year.

Two things lost the Raiders the Super Bowl. Chuck Breshnahan was a HORRIBLE defensive coordinator. Like all-time worst. Secondly, when their starting center went nuts and missed the game, it ruined them.

When Barret Robbins disappeared before Super Bowl

That was as bad as the Stanley Wilson getting fucked up on drugs before the Bengals Super Bowl.

The Steelers couldn't even beat the worst team in the NFL and you picked them over the Chiefs?

Lol

GO CHIEFS

The chiefs should be good this year, with Hill on one side of the field and Watkins on the other and Kelce up the middle, I think Mahomes has a good shot at being the real deal. I don’t know about your defense though

Defense is a little soft. That is our only weak spot
