Jackson was kind of an asshole. And certainly an egomaniac.

Personality-wise Rump reminds me more of "Big Bill" Thompson, the flamboyant, attention-whoring and completely corrupt mayor of Chicago until 1931 when he was challenged by Anton Cernak, a Czech immigrant. And just like Rump, Thompson went to the ethnic slurs:

won't take a back seat to that Bohunk, Chairmock, Chermack or whatever his name is.

Can you picture a World's Fair mayor with a name like that?

--- fortunately the good people of Chicago didn't buy it, and were fed up with Thompson's crime-ridden war zone, and voted him out of office.

Nobody from Thompson's political party has ever been elected to that office since.
